If he’d still been on the Finalizer, he would have had more options. He knows that ship like the back of his hand. That’s probably why Ren insisted he move with Ren to the Steadfast, and then ordered him to functionally serve as an ornament just behind Pryde, in reach of authority but with no power and no responsibilities of note. If he was meant to feel stifled and impotent, congratulations to them, the maneuver had been a resounding success.
But that had been foolish too. If he’d had something to do he wouldn’t have had nearly so much time to plan.

Summary
A series of character-centric slice of life style pieces exploring characterization, motivations, and relationships. The first few center around Hux and Kylo Ren and how they fit in with the First Order and with each other post The Last Jedi but other characters, specifically Phasma and Rey, might have pieces added later as inspiration strikes.
Though all the pieces have continuity with each other and the occasional bit of foreshadowing to a grander-scale Something going on, there is no real overarching plot to these. And updates happen when they happen.
The goal is to keep these as Canon-Compliant as possible, even with the books, though I do take some heavy liberties with the events of the Phasma novel.

Phoenix and Maya finally clean out Mia's office. Far, far too many people help.
"Jesus, Nick, you ever heard of throwing stuff out?" Maya laughs as she throws open the window, clapping her hands over the sill to shake off the dust. She's careful about where she puts her feet, Phoenix notes, despite the casual tone. It makes for a slightly awkward stance, how she steps to avoid every square of carpet Mia's body once touched. "I'd’ve thought you got rid of all this shit years ago!"
