Summary
Philza the vampire waited with his hand stuck out, tilting his head to copy Techno when he tilted his head in confusion, one big ear flopping to the side. He scented the air again, trying to get a better read on his intentions, but he was met with nothing but honesty and eagerness, the man smiling on patiently.
Unwilling to shift back into his human form, Techno simply took a half step forward, sniffed Philza’s hand once, and then pushed his nose into it briefly as a greeting. He stepped back quickly, and the vampire seemed satisfied.
“It’s nice to know one’s neighbors, I think. I hope we can stay friendly.”
Techno tilted his head again at the words, but Philza simply turned on his heal and walked back up his own path, back the way he had come, on silent feet. Techno watched him go until he had fully disappeared from sight before resuming his patrol of his boarders.-//-
Or: Techno's journey from being 'willingly' alone, to the willing protector of his own, mismatched family.

Summary
“He’s not as bad as they make him sound!” Wilbur was trying to make eye contact with Phil as he bent over to stitch up the long cut in his arm. “I’ve never actually seen him kill anyone. And even when he injuries an officer or a hero, he only does it in self-defense. He targets specific people. Bad people.”
“Has he added you to that list of bad people?” Phil raised the boy’s arm to show the fresh stitches. “Because he sure does like to target you.”
“No, I think startled him this time. He doesn’t like when I come at him from behind, I think.”
“Power to Prime Wilbur….”
“At least he said sorry?”
//or//
Five times Phil could have come out of retirement, and the one time he finally did.

Summary
The man holding Meryl leaned down to speak in her ear. “We ought to let them know we found their little friend.” A flash of silver appeared in Meryl’s vision and she went still as the knife got closer. The grip on her wrist tightened and his intentions became clear all at once. They were going to use her as a bargaining chip.
Meryl had faith in Vash’s uncanny ability to get out of any situation. But if they used her to threaten him he would go with them. She knew he would. -

Summary
“Breaking News! The search for kidnapped child Thomas Watson has been raised to highest priority by the Hero Association after the Villains Helium and Insomnia released their terms for the child’s release and it was revealed that Thomas has personal relations to not one, not two, but three of L’Manburg’s top hero’s.”
The screen in the square, blasting the news out into the open public flashed a picture of Tommy from his most recent graduation. Mockingbird hesitated in his steps over a rooftop nearby, the memory triggered by the photo shaking him to his core.

“They-” Techno grits out, “They keep telling me to find this kid, Tommy they’re calling him.”
Phil frowns, leaning against the fridge and squinting past the dark, waiting for his eyes to adjust, “Is it… a metaphor or something?”
“Definitely not,” the pink haired hybrid winces, “They keep saying i-”

Summary
Taking the window as an escape route isn’t the most ideal option when one is seven flights up. Not unless there’s a local birdman outside providing aerial support. Then that changes everything. Then the window is the only sensible option.
And also the funniest, in terms of raising Phil’s blood pressure.
(Or, superhero au, three times Phil catches Wilbur, and one time he doesn’t.)

Summary
"Promise you won't get mad," Tubbo mumbles.
Tommy rolls his eyes. "Tubbo, you just used a nuclear weapon to break me out of a maximum security prison and save me from my abuser. What could I possibly get mad at you for."
Tubbo takes a breath, and doesn't turn around to look at Tommy while he talks, voice still small.
"You know how I make impulsive decisions when I'm stressed out?"
"Yeah..." Tommy drawls, apprehensive.
"I- well, I think... I think I... Married... Ranboo?"
Tommy short circuits.
What?
-
Tubbo breaks Tommy out of prison with a nuke and then introduces him to his husband and son.
