Dean looked in his eyes. There is weight in his chest he can't figure out. Or maybe he can. Its bittersweet. Trust, respect and appreciation.
“Keep your nose clean, Benny. You hear me?”
Benny held out his hand. They shook , can’t help but grinning.
“We made it. I can’t believe it.”
Dean laughed. “You and me both.”
Benny’s hand lingered at the back of Dean’s head as he pulled him into a hug. They held on for a beat too long. His eyes dropped to Dean’s lips. Dean licked his own, almost unconsciously.
When Benny leaned closer, alarms screamed in Dean’s head.
“We– we talked about this,” Dean whispered.
Benny chuckled. “Not so brave topside, are we, Winchester?”
He stepped back, smirking.
“Besides… you belong to some feathery-assed, depressed motherfucker in a ridiculous trenchcoat.”
Dean’s jaw tightened. Benny laughed as he walked away.
“Can’t deny that now, can you, Dean Winchester?”
