Summary
It’s a fluke.
It has to be- bad luck’s been one of Bee’s personal aggressors since the war. First with the birth of Megatron, then the conflict of the fallout. The war- then his voicebox… just once he’d like to be able to go a cycle without some terrible slag coming to dog his pedesteps. It would be nice.
Not that Lady Luck’s graced his frame for a while.
Except not this time. This time, he makes it out. This time Breakdown makes it out. This time they streak away into the night, energon boosters snarling, while G.H.O.S.T tries to mobilise behind them for a chase. (Primus, it’s been so long. In a matter of moments Breakdown had gone from being an old faded ache to a fire in his fuel lines. He’d thought he’d be over it by now. He’d thought he’d be able to look the mech in the optics and not feel like his tanks were full of grit and impurities.)

Summary
Jazz should have waited. He should have retreated and called for back-up. He should have left Prowl alone to hide behind his rocks and lick his wounds.
But this was Prowl.
His Prowler.
He'd come back from the grave.
----
After an operation goes horribly wrong and Prowl is presumed killed in action, Jazz begins to slowly, reluctantly move on with his life.
On a routine recon mission, Jazz comes across the very mech he's spent ages trying to mourn. Yet, Prowl is different. He doesn't speak. He doesn't question. All he does is hiss and growl and stare, cautiously, as Jazz tries to bring the Prowl he knows and loves back to him.
AKA: A stranger comes home wearing your dead best friend's face.

Summary
Left to steer Ishgard into a new age as its Lord Speaker and Commander both, Aymeric finds himself both in possession of Estinien's old helm, and missing the company and candor of his oldest friend. His yearning manifests in the habit of talking to the helmet and imagining what responses he might receive. A risque dream one late night forces him to confront his long held crush on his closest friend, with the left behind helmet serving as an outlet for long-suppressed lustful fantasies.

Summary
"What are you doing," Megatron manages to grit out, but it’s breathy.
Optimus straightens up, taking Megatron’s thighs in his servos and separating them wide, pushing them back towards his abdomen. He shuffles closer on his knees, his own panels sliding open. For a moment, he appreciates the sight: his valve brushing against Megatron's, the pulse of their biolights syncing. His optics lock on Megatron’s, and then he grinds down.

“For how could He that did not raise a servo condemn the saboteur for using his own? How could He that never offered up solutions condemn the tactician for deriving his own?
What could Primus provide that they had not already found in the other? What punishment could be worse than the war they had survived? Hand in hand, what could ever stand in their way?”

Summary
Prowl (Prowl, Prowl, Prowl) moves back to the rails, placing both servos on them to lean over and see Jazz better. He looks surprised, for a klik, with optics wide and lips parted. Jazz is struck with just how pretty he is, all elegance and stoicism, and is even more surprised at how terrified that makes him. His spark is spinning erratically and his right servo keeps picking at a spot of peeling paint on his thigh, despite him having thought he killed the habit.
“So you do know me, after all.” Prowl says, and Jazz swears there is something amused in his tone, even as he frowns.
Jazz smiles, wide and real, and nods. “After all? Yes.”
In which Jazz manages to introduce himself, make a fool of himself, and possibly make a name for himself in front of the single most processor melting mech he's ever seen.

Summary
Ratchet is usually pretty good about not talking about feelings. He might be even better at deflecting and avoiding emotional conversations than Drift is, keeping his wounded spark hidden behind layers of acerbic wit. So it's odd that Ratchet is being open about his feelings now. Something had changed since Drift was exiled, and Ratchet is getting dangerously close to bulldozing his way right through all of Drift’s carefully constructed walls.

Summary
Self control was a beautiful skill to master.
Needed not from any sort of desire for a perceived stoicism but rather a matter of avoiding complete social suicide.
What could be so detrimental as to require so much focus?
Knockout didn’t like to make a habit of answering that question.
—
In other words: Knockout has a fainting disorder and hides it by keeping a tight hold on his emotions, and Breakdown makes it hard to not be emotional.

“I am Officer Michael Bell. That is the name of my human disguise,” the creature said quietly. “You may, however, refer to me as Prowl.”

AKA: Bones replaces Booth with a sentient cop car. It's just more efficient that way.
