Ingo always felt like an outsider in Hisui. And he was one, in many ways. He spoke differently from the people around him, dressed differently from them, THOUGHT differently from everyone. It was isolating, especially with the echoes of his old hoving at the back of his mind despite it remaining a mystery to him. Maybe, if he could find a way to recover them fully, he could finally make peace with them. He could finally let his past go and accept his new one in the Pearl Clan. But nothing he's tried has worked so far and he's struggling.
Until a merchant from the Ginko guild seeks him out, with a relic from legends that might be able to help.

Normally, Link would just go about his day acting as the Royal Engineer as expected. Visiting Zelda on those days just happens as part of those duties, and it truly is nice to see his best friend, especially considering how busy they both are!
But when she comes to him holding a journal with information from Queen Tetra that implies that time-travel is real alongside news of a strange portal's appearance right within the throne room of New Hyrule Castle along with the beginnings of a new adventure suddenly he wishes he were just going through his route.
And if going through the portal lands him within an age so far off from his own that New Hyrule isn't even a thing yet then... guess he just needs to go along for the ride! If only that 'ride' were on his train.
