“If you don’t mind me asking,” Vincent broke in, setting down a steaming mug of cider between them, “Where are you from, Quinn? Your accent doesn’t strike me as from the Capital region, and it's mostly locals and Capital players who end up in the God’s Tournament.”
Quinn accepted the mug with a quiet thanks. “I’m originally from a small village in the northwestern region. I doubt you’d know the name even if I told you.”
“How does a small town boy from the north end up in the Tournament of the Gods?” Felix wondered out loud. “And manage to take third place?”
Quinn cracked a wry smile. “That’s a longer story than I think you have time for, gentlemen.”

How Quinn, Tommy's teammate from the second tournament round (and his newest friend), finds himself in the Tournament of the Gods with nothing but a couple of daggers, his hopes, and someone else's dream.
(And a little insight into why, exactly, he chooses the weirdo teenager as his partner in the first place.)

Summary
Kageyama has never been one for words. He just isn’t. He tries. He really does. He does his best, but.
All of these questions get tangled up in his mind, swirling around in a soupy mess with the absolute frustration he feels at the injustice of it all, so when the words come out, they’re not really right. They’re not, “How did you move like that?”, or even a simple “What’s your name?”.
Kageyama’s mouth opens, and instead he spits out, “What have you been doing for the last three years?!”
The boy flinches, and Kageyama’s mouth snaps shut.

Cuba. They weren’t in the Bahamas at all. They had chosen Cuba.

Anyone else still thinking about that line from Pony in Book 7 that kinda implied he thought Carl and Donut had deliberately chosen Cuba over the Bahamas for the 8th floor because they didn't want to be around him? No? Just me?

“So what’re you doing here, Conner?”
Kon frowned. “What do you mean?”
Tim gave another shrug. “I mean, I’m only here ‘cause my dad can’t make it and he asked me to make an appearance for him.” He leaned across the table toward Kon, curious. “So what about you? I know most of the reporters that like to frequent these events, and I’ve never seen you around here before.”
“Aw, well,” Kon reached up to scratch at his cheek, trying to figure out the best way to word Superman is away on a space mission and is worried about his wife's tendency to get into astonishing amounts of trouble when left to her own devices, especially in Gotham, and also is probably, like, trying to do some kinda bonding thing? So he let me borrow his “disguise”, his literal name, and his job so I could tag along with her. “I’m filling in for my older brother?”

When yet another Gotham gala goes horribly wrong, it's left up to Kon and his new civilian friend Tim Drake to solve a murder, clear a name, and catch a culprit before it's too late.
(All without giving away their secret identities, of course.)
It's a good thing the infamous Detective Tim Drake and his faithful partner, Kon Watson, are on the case.

It’s like Reigen’s been waiting for the question. He stops dead on the pavement, grips Mob by the shoulders, and stares down into his eyes with an expression as haunted as though every ghost the pair of them has ever exorcised has taken up residence behind it. “Mob,” he says. “Mob,” he says again. “Tell me, Mob. Look at me and tell me. Tell me truthfully. Do I look cursed to you?”
Mob looks at him, and tells him truthfully. “No.”
“Well, you didn’t look very long,” says Reigen. “Let’s just stand here for a moment, like so, and you can have another look, a nice long look, and really think about it...”
(There's nothing strange about being called back to exorcise the same haunted photocopier six days in a row. It must just be a very haunted photocopier.)

"Kageyama supposed it should have been obvious the moment they met—the reckless and borderline destructive nature of Hinata's determination.
He dove for the ball like it was the last one he’d ever hit in his whole life, and even when his underclassmen seemed concerned after a particularly nasty fall following a failed receive. Hinata just wanted to stay on the court. In those minutes, though, all Kageyama could see was what was in Hinata’s heart:
The drive to learn and grow and win.
He saw it sparkle in his eyes. In the way he moved. In the way he talked. In the way he cried in front of him after their first game.
And that, Kageyama knew now, was his first mistake: being so completely overwhelmed and blinded by Hinata’s drive that he missed what lay buried underneath it.
He missed the monster it concealed, and what it did to Hinata on and off the court."
Or: Hinata just wants to get better, but he doesn't realize he's hurting himself in the process. The rest of Karasuno does. Trigger warning.

Summary
In the semi-final game of the Spring Prefecture Qualifiers, Karasuno is playing Aoba Johsai, and nothing about that is weird. So why does Kageyama feel so off?
Well, because this one tennis-ball-lookin-ass dude has it out for Hinata, as it turns out, and decides to act on that at the end of the match. Karasuno -- and especially one Kageyama Tobio -- is decidedly not happy about anyone messing with their feral tangerine child.
