“Lucifer Morningstar, just the man I was looking for!” Alastor interrupted swiftly, lest he start drooling over the smell of Lucifer wafting out of the doorway.
“What?” Lucifer tilted his head sideways, cute, eyes narrowed in suspicion, “I don’t remember ever telling you where I live, how the hell-”
“Why, I’m hurt you forgot you gave me your address!” Alastor gestured dramatically, hand to his chest in mock offense.
Lucifer smiled apologetically, scratching the back of his head like a cheesy cartoon protagonist, “Did I? Sorry about that, bud. Uh, I’d let you in, but I’m actually about to go pick up Charlie from her after school program. Maybe another time, but I gotta go!” And with that, the door closed, shutting Alastor out before he had a chance to bid his fake farewell.
Well. All in a day’s work, as they say.
Or: Alastor is a vampire and his next meal won't invite him inside no matter what he does.

His voice dripped with old fashioned charm, like Cary Grant or Orson Welles, but there seemed to be a filter playing over it, as if he were broadcasting through a radio. He grinned his crazy grin and leaned against the counter. "What is this fine establishment you have here? Got any whiskey? Giggle juice?"
"Sir, this is a Starbucks."
