Jon comes closer every time he passes a mirror. He pulls his shirt up, revealing all abdominal regions; observes every change. His diaphragm, nestled between ribs, supporting his lungs; sternum, guiding the eye for a show. He breathes in, something bulging right below his ribcage. Breathes out, sucking his stomach in. There it is – diaphragm, expanding and contracting. Expanding and contracting.

“I was… so awful to you, Martin. I know I've tried to apologize but I-”
“And I said I forgave you already.”
“But I still- I know. And I know you harbor no ill will or bad feelings or anything, but I- I still feel so guilty. Like I haven't earned your forgiveness, therefore you haven't actually done so. Not properly.”...
“It’s your fantasy. I want to know what’s going on in that head of yours.” He leans over the other man, a very smug look spread across his face, “Otherwise, I’ll just start guessing.”
“Good lord. You- Hmm. I suppose I’d end up making it up to you with my body.”...
“I’m sick of you dismissing me. Talking down to me.” A realization hits him and Martin smiles deviously. “I think it’s time we make some changes.”
Jon swallowed hard at the tone in Martin's voice. “Ex-Excuse me!?” The voice crack wasn't even intentional, but it certainly sold it.
“I think you owe me for all of the errands you sent me on. All of the investigations you insisted I do.”...
Jon feels bad about how he treated Martin in the past and wants to make it up to him. Martin happily indulges him.

Summary
Jon’s going to find some food that makes them want to eat. When he spends too many hours researching the limited boxes of statements and papers that Basira had managed to ferret to the safehouse, he feels like he might go insane. He’s too far away from the Institute to really do anything, and going out hunting for clues is antithetical to hiding out. He feels like a rat in a cage. He needs to do something and he needs that something to give him immediate feedback. And, it’s an excuse to spend time with Martin, when he’s feeling up to it.

It had been a little strange, at first. Mostly because neither Sasha nor Tim seem to find anything unusual about the arrangement. It's no longer an unusual sight to see Jon exit his office only to ease down to his knees and slip right under Martin's desk.
