Summary
“No more rules,” Price snarls as he turns to look at the spectre haunting him. Ghost stands in his full kit, knife twirling in his hand and he stares his old captain down. The expression on his face is the same every time Price sees him now. Anger. Detachment. Resignation.
“A bit late for that, yeah? Your rules got Johnny killed, and then when it’s convenient to you, they are abandoned without a second thought.” Ghost stalks forward, the twisted snarl on his face distorting the skull pattern on his balaclava. Price can see the dried blood staining the white part of the design.

Price can't handle the fucking guilt.

Summary
“You don’t drink milk,” Soap said dryly as Ghost approached the table.
Ghost scuffed his feet across the floor as he walked, fabrics swishing back and forth. Soap hid his frown. Usually Ghost was quieter than a cat. Was he injured? Was that why he was walking funny? It would be just like the man to slip in the rain and pull his back, but decide not to tell anyone.
“It’s good to try new things occasionally, Sergeant. Broadens your horizons.” Ghost replied, a little too loudly. He came to a stop next to Soap, but continued fidgeting, tapping his foot and shifting back and forth. What the fuck?
“You're lactose intolerant,” Soap said flatly.
“Maybe I've grown out of it since the last time I checked.”
“You don’t grow out of lactose intolerance, Ghost,” Gaz chimed in.
“You had to take half the day off after eating a bowl of ice cream just last week,” Price said, looking unimpressed.

One rainy day on TF 141's homebase, Ghost is acting strangely. Soap is determined to find out why.

Summary
Suddenly Kyle just can’t take it anymore. He slams his hands on the table. “What the fuck is wrong with you, huh?” Ghost looks over at him confused. “I would have thought you’d have something, anything, to say about this! You’re just ok with him replacing Soap?”
“Sergeant!” Price barks, but all of Gaz’s focus is on Ghost right now, no matter that the man just looks lost in the face of his fury.
“Did you ever fucking care about him? Huh? Because if you did I don’t understand how you just woke up one day and decided to stop-”
“That is enough!” Price snarls.
“No! I want to hear what he has to fucking say for himself,” Kyle spits back.

Summary
He was sure Johnny hadn’t met his soulmate yet. He’d braced himself for Johnny asking to see Ghost's soulmark. To see that it didn't match and finally have the fantasy crash down. To realize that Ghost truly was unlovable.
He couldn't imagine Soap having a soulmate and interacting with Ghost the way he did. Even if the flirting and soft touches were purely platonic, Ghost had seen Johnny take home strangers from bars. Not the action of a man with a soulmate. At least not a man as honorable and loyal as the Scot.
"You don't talk about them much," Ghost said hesitantly, suddenly at a loss as to where this conversation was going. Come to think of it, Soap never talked much about soulmates at all.
OR
On a late night when neither of them can sleep, Soap and Ghost end up sharing cigarettes and talking about soulmates.
OR

Summary
It was obvious when Nigel got home, the door banging open on its hinges as it always did, but only the windows shook and not the floor when he slammed it shut, so he was in a good mood just as she’d predicted. She applied his favorite lipstick and hurried down the steps on quiet feet so she could get the beer glass from the freezer and pour him a beer while he settled down on the couch and flipped through stations on the telly.
“Good afternoon, honey,” she said, a smile on her face as she presented him the beer, perfectly poured with no head. He snatched it from her hands then grunted as he kicked his feet out, still in his work boots, a clear instruction.
Elizabeth knelt down, smile frozen on her face, to untie his boots. Boots in hand, she stood and turned to place them by the door when a harsh slap to her ass made her flinch. There was a moment of primal fear, wondering if he would be angry that she flinched, before Nigel crowed in laughter, apparently finding her reaction amusing. Elizabeth breathed a silent breath of relief before scurrying off to check on dinner.
OR
It’s the 1990s, and in a quiet house in the suburbs of Manchester, Elizabeth Riley has finally had enough.

Summary
This is a collection of partially finished fics or outlines of fics that I have not started writing. The vast majority of of these fics will likely never be fully written, but I wanted a place to post them in case people enjoy these little bits or in case anyone is inspired by the ideas in these fics. If I finish an idea in here I will delete the chapter to post the fic. Because I do not write linearly, there will be breaks in the text where story I have not yet written belongs. If you read this fic beware of that and beware that I may never finish the fic. However if you particularly like an idea or have a suggestion on what to do with a story, please let me know! It might motivate me to finish the story. Also please feel free to steal any of these ideas.
The first "chapter" is my list of fic ideas. After that "chapters" are arranged by stages of completeness rather than posting order.

Summary
It started, as most things in the 141 did, with a good natured ribbing and a bet.
“Oh come on mate, come off it, there’s no way the story behind your callsign is classified!” Gaz half shouts. He’s not quite drunk yet, but he is tipsy enough that his control on his volume has become tenuous.
Soap only grins and shrugs. “What can Ah say?”
Alejandro and Rudy groan in frustration. Even Ghost is drawn into the proceedings. “Do you know?” he rumbles at Price.
Their Captain shakes his head. “No, the muppet won’t tell me either.”
OR
No one in the 141 knows how Soap got the name Soap, but they are determined to find out. AKA. How many stories can I make up about Soap's callsign?

Summary
From the way Price pales, Ghost is sure that the poor man is convinced that this is the last time he’ll see his lieutenant alive. He’s not exactly sure how to reassure the man. It’s not like he can say, Oh don’t worry about me, I’m no longer suicidal because Soap is a ghost now and he’s haunting me and the meager time he spends talking to me in morse code is worth living for.
So instead he says, “Going to Scotland. Figured someone should tell Johnny the news. What do you want as a souvenir?”
OR
Simon visits Scotland to have a picnic with Johnny at the cliff they scattered his ashes at and goes to an occult shop to learn how to better communicate with Soap now that he's a Ghost.

Summary
"D’ye ‘ave a favorite scar?"
“I do.”
Soap grins. “Ye gonnae tell me whit one or do Ah gottae guess?”
Ghost huffs with amusement, weighing his options. The hopeful look on Soap’s face makes the choice easy. Ghost sets down his beer and with a smooth motion pulls his shirt overhead.
Soap’s expression is everything he could have hoped for, wide eyed admiration, lips parted in surprise, the tint of blush spreading over his cheeks.
If Ghost’s forearms are littered with scars, his torso is practically a collage of them. The eye-catching Y shaped vivisection. The starburst on the right side of his ribcage from the meat hook. A constellation of circular cigarette burns spread across his clavicles. His left flank, covered in a burn scar that’s healed into a watercolor of purple and pink stretched skin. An acid splash across his right hip bone that peaks up over the waistband of his joggers. A myriad of other miscellaneous marks.
OR
Ghost and Soap sit together on the roof watching the sunset and discuss scars.

Summary
Ghost is being haunted.
It’s downright ironic really. A cosmic joke if he’s ever heard one. Evidence that whoever is running the whole thing has a sense of humor. He’d be pissed if he didn’t also have a pretty damn good idea of who is haunting him.
OR
Ghost loses Soap down in a tunnel under London. Grief stricken and heartbroken, he decides that he'll hunt down Makarov before following his sergeant. Along the way, strange incidents that he cannot explain begin to rack up. What's dead is not always gone.

Summary
He can’t get the thought of death out of his mind, the images blurring together like a painting made from blood in his mind. The picture shifts constantly, and Soap could handle it if it would just stop changing. He can handle death. He can handle dying. He can’t handle a thousand possibilities of how he might die. He does the only thing he can think of.
“If you were going to kill me, would you do it fast or slow?”
A beat passed. Long enough that Soap thinks that Ghost isn't going to reply and that will be the end of it.
“Slowly,” Ghost says eventually, startling Soap.
“How would you do it?”
Ghost looks over him, eyes sweeping over his body, and Soap feels somehow, achingly seen. “I'd cut you up. Make you bleed all pretty for me.”
OR
After Ghost rescues Soap from being tortured, Soap is unable to get all the ways his captors threatened to kill him out of his mind. Ghost helps him deal with his intrusive thoughts.

Summary
They found a shared flat in Glasgow. Shared kisses in civvie clothes, shared meals, shared their bed, shared their pleasure, but not the words. Never the words.
Now he never will. He won’t even say them to Johnny’s body. He was too much of a coward while the man was alive. He doesn't deserve to say them now. Doesn’t deserve to say them while Johnny can’t hear. Doesn’t deserve the absolution.
He thinks briefly about reaching for his gun and putting a bullet through his head. He can’t. Not yet. Not until he’s laid Johnny to rest, and then hunted down Makarov.
OR
Soap is killed at the end of MWIII, Ghost has to deal with the aftermath. Except there's something not quite right, and Soap's not really dead.
