Summary

Summary
With the title of Hokage beginning to descend upon him, Naruto is being pressured from all sides to think about his legacy. His hero image has fully caught up to him at the age of twenty five, and he spends his days on covert missions as well as shadowing Kakashi in preparation for his step-down. While his friends try and pit him with village bachelorettes, Naruto finds his mind returning to its decades-long fixation.... Sasuke still flits in and out of existence, visiting the village on the occasion that his whim to see Naruto supersedes his good judgement.
A month after Sasuke's last visit to the village, news comes from the Land of Water of an illness targeting ninja and those with higher chakra presences. When Sasuke is urged to return again having heard whispers of the disease, Team 7 is resurrected for a dangerous mission that could threaten even their lives.

Naruto grinned, and Sasuke realized that although he had never considered sober Naruto to be a good decision maker, tipsy Naruto was possibly among the worst. “We could have a competition,” he said as he wiggled his eyebrows.
“And the competition would be–”
“We have sex and figure out who's better.” Naruto shrugged nonchalantly, as if this wasn't the most insane thing that had ever come out of his already very unhinged mouth. “Duh.”
The ocean was back, whirling inside Sasuke's head. It was a storm inside his mind, a hurricane and a tsunami at the same time. Bad idea, bad bad bad, the worst– his thoughts were drowned out by the sound of crashing waves.
