Το έτος είναι 2012, η οικονομική κρίση στην Ελλάδα είναι στα κορυφαία της, με μέχρι και 170% χρέος σε σχέση με το GDP της χώρας. Ο νεαρός Ηρακλής Καρπούζης μόλις έχει αποφοιτήσει από το Πολυτεχνείο της Αθήνας ως ηλεκτρολόγος μηχανικός και μάταια ψάχνει για δουλειά, για να μπορέσει να βγάλει λεφτά και να ζήσει άνετα. Δυστυχώς όμως με την τωρινή κατάσταση της χώρας αυτό είναι αδύνατο. Οπότε αποφασίζει να μεταναστεύσει στην Μόσχα που βρίσκετε ο παλιός του συμμαθητής ο οποίος και θα τον φιλοξενήσει, ο Ίβαν Μπραγκίνσκι.

He felt the cold bucket of milk press against his lips. It stayed— he didn’t open his lips as Ashswag continued to speak.
“You know what this is, right?” ‘Of course.’
For some odd reason, he went as far as to hug his servant while keeping the bucket pressed against Fish Bucket’s mouth.
The voidling wish he didn’t jolt that violently, but he did. It raised a look of almost pride on Ashswag’s face. “Rare, isn’t it?”
He didn’t know where his feelings went. It twisted, swirled— going haywire—
He couldn’t breathe.
“Drink it.”
He didn’t. The bucket pressed harder.
“Need I say it again?”
spoke & minute equals comfort, spoke & ashswag equals,... missing him. Spoke misses ash.

Spoke is too much of a paradox for Minute to figure out, but paradoxes be damned, Minute will find a way to help Spoke, if that's the last thing he does.

the thought comes quietly and gets louder until jude can’t ignore it any longer.

it’s a thought that should be ridiculous—it would have been, just a few weeks ago—but now it isn’t at all.
he remembers the clenching of his chest when he first walked into his bedroom and found sharp sleeping like he belonged there. the warmth in his heart as they shared a sunset view. his quiet excuse of braiding sharp’s hair, just because he couldn’t bring himself to leave the moment, and because he thought he would look beautiful. he remembers the scent of lavender, and the same feeling from a few nights ago lingers in his chest, warm and misty.
god. he’s in love with him. jude is completely, perfectly, incandescently in love with sharp.
