Watched skyscrapers crumble under his power, heard the once high and mighty heroes plead for mercy, for a saviour that would never come. You watched the Symbol of Peace take a final stand only to collapse and never get back up with that friendly smile he once had. It broke you. Shattered any sanity you held, but what could you do? You were no hero. Just a bystander. And then, in what you thought was perhaps an act of mercy from the world, you died.
Yet you didn't stay dead.
You woke back up at the beginning of it all, back before the chaos, the death. When you were just a normal eighteen-year-old, trying to finish high school and go to university. You're just some girl, working a dead-end shift at a shitty convenience store. Like you didn't know the fate awaiting every hero you saw on T.V., the students coming into the store, every small-time criminal who didn't remain as unassuming as they seemed. Each time, it's a punishment, watching charred remains morph with living, breathing people. Hearing the screams. Everyone you walk past is just a corpse waiting for their funeral.
And you're the only one who knows.

He's old, older than your oldest sister, who would be in high school if it wasn't for your unfortunate living situation. His hair is a little bit longer, a shade or two darker, and his eyes are obscured by big yellow glasses that make you want to laugh— but his wings are huge, almost bigger than him, spread out to showcase more feathers than you'd ever seen, while a few onlookers oo and ahh and snap pictures. He's famous, you realize with a gasp, reeling back to look at him.
Or, you meet Pro Hero Hawks when he's still just Keigo Takami, the boy who lives next door. You can see what he'll become— and learn the hard way how painful it is to know of a future that cannot be changed.

You think you have an option to, or not to fix canon for a while, until the literal protagonist shows up out of nowhere, forcing you to accept that you only have one choice.
Well, whatever. If the universe wanted you, how could you decline? It’s safe to say that now you're going to do whatever it takes to twist fates into happy futures– no matter the cost.
