"C'mon, Shou. You know what I mean."
"Do I?" Shouto asks, bemused.
"I have - back pain. My ankles are shot from too many rough landings. I snore, and I need glasses, and my knees pop every time I get out of bed in the morning." He shakes his head, sighing. "It's embarrassing, you should divorce me."
"We haven't even submitted the marriage registration yet," Shouto points out.
"Then maybe you should run away while you still can!"
Shouto blinks. "Because your knees pop?"
"Because I'm - old and worn out!"
"But isn't that the whole point of getting married? That we can take care of each other as we get older, and make sure we aren't pushing ourselves too hard?"
Izuku purses his lips.
"The point is that I forced you into a stupid pact in high school about getting married to each other if we didn't marry other people first, and now here we are! Cutting the cake and tossing bouquets!"
Ah, Shouto thinks. This again.
As third years, Izuku and Shouto decide to get married. Fifteen years later, they actually do it.

“Oh, you are up,” Todoroki said. “Good. Bakugou texted the group chat. Apparently-”
“We have to pick up the cake,” Izuku said. “I know. Todoroki, I need you to listen to me. I’m going to sound insane when I say this, but I think I’m stuck in a time loop.”
His eyes got wide. “Time loop?”
“I’ve lived today, twice already. We’re supposed to go out and get the cake, and while we’re out, we're going to be attacked by a villain who can reflect attacks. I’ll use the last of the One for All embers fighting him.” He bit his lip. “I know I sound insane, but-”
“That sounds serious,” Todoroki said. “What happened to get you into a time loop?” He stepped into Izuku’s room and closed the door behind him. “We probably don’t have a lot of time to spare. If you’re in a time loop, how do we get you out? Do you know who put you in one? You said you lost your quirk?”
He couldn’t believe Todoroki believed him. He didn’t question it at all. It made Izuku feel full. “Yeah. Both days. We get the cake, a villain attacks, I lose my quirk, then the wedding goes well before I end up back in my room, and then I wake up on Kacchan’s wedding day again.”

Shouto tries not to think too hard on how he feels about Midoriya. They're friends, he's sure of that, and that's where he tries to leave it. He knows it's not normal to know the exact shade of your friend's eyes from memory or to fall asleep dreaming of them. He knows it's not normal to be so distressed about your friend liking somebody. Or to notice every little change in their appearance. But Shouto isn't normal in the first place, so he's definitely content to ignore it. It'll never happen anyways, right? So what if Uraraka is convinced it will?
or, shouto notices little things, like how uraraka paints his nails, so he asks momo to paint his and makes them match izuku's eyes. obviously this is totally one sided and izuku likes girls and probably uraraka, right? (famous last words, pining and quests ensue)
