Summary
Ukyo’s mouth goes dry. “Sai?” he says after a moment. “You told me your last name was Mohanty!”
Ukyo looks at Ryusui, then back at Sai. Ryusui’s not smiling anymore. His forehead is creased, and there’s a sudden tension around his mouth. His arms are crossed over his chest, his posture no longer loose and relaxed after their reunion. Whatever warmth had been there a moment ago has been replaced by something guarded.
“Do you two know each other?” Ryusui asks. His tone is much less warm than it was just minutes ago, when he was hugging Ukyo close.
Sai is staring at him now, his expression slowly changing from mild confusion to recognition. His eyes widen, and for the first time since Ukyo spotted him, he looks just as thrown as Ukyo feels. “Oh,” Sai says.
Ukyo’s stomach twists.
“Oh,” Sai repeats, much more quietly, but Ukyo’s sharp ears can pick it up like they’re standing right next to each other. “Hi, Ukyo. Didn’t think I’d see you here.”

Sai and Ukyo slept with each other before the petrification and before Sai had left for India. This becomes relevant when they meet up again in Australia, after Ukyo's gone and fallen in love with Ryusui.

Summary
The first time Peter Parker meets (some of) the Avengers, it's in a sewer and/or warehouse-he wasn't able to get a good look at the place, sue him for his uncertainty-after he had (apparently) gotten kidnapped.
The first time the Avengers meet Spider-Man, he's calling them jerkwads from the top of Hawkeye's roof... according to Hawkeye. In Peter's humble opinion, rooftops are communical property among vigilantes, especially during alien invasions.
OR
Seven times the Avengers were confused about Spider-Man's identity, and one time his identity was revealed.
(A story told over the course of seventeen years, seven different world-ending catastrophes, and a kidnapping.)

Summary
James doesn’t understand what’s happening.
After the incident by the Black Lake, his red-haired angel had finally managed to break free from that sullen, greasy snake. He ought to have been relieved—yet he can’t stop paying attention to one thing:
That Slytherin… has changed.
The boy who always hunched over, who kept himself tucked into shadows as if he didn’t quite belong—now walks with a straight back, his former unease replaced by a sharp, steady focus. He ignores every gaze on him, striding down the corridors with quick, decisive steps, the hem of his robes sweeping behind him in dark, wave-like ripples.
Once, James even caught Snape standing by a window, watching a group of younger students roughhousing in the hall with a cold, assessing stare—as if he might deduct points any second, as if he had the authority to do that.
James can’t make sense of it.
