Subaru is a werewolf. He’s not ashamed of it, it’s part of his heritage, but it does require some explaining -- after all, during the full moon, his wolf form can be dangerous.
Unfortunately, no one seems to be listening to his explanations! According to the common sense of this world, he doesn’t look at all like a werewolf (which makes no sense), Ricardo is a werewolf (he’s just some kind of wolf-y demihuman?), the polite term is “wolfman” or “wolf human”, and wolf humans can enter their beast forms at any time, not just the full moon.
Subaru is starting to wonder if they’re talking about the same thing.
