    So, a mere two nights after her mom died, she packed her backpack and slipped out the door. She didn’t know where she was going, but she would figure that out eventually. What mattered now was escaping Gabe.

    “Your test results both came back normal,” Bruce said, showing it to them on the Bat Computer. “How’d you sleep?”

    Cass shrugged, projecting a bored image. She knew Steph didn’t like girls, so she wasn’t going to make things weird by accidentally letting it slip she’d had an almost-wet dream about her, especially not in front of Batman. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for her to have dreams about Stephanie anyway; the dream she’d had the night before was just new.

    “I had a baby. Did you know that? She’s not mine anymore, but-”

    Bruce - because there’s no way she’s calling him Batman in her head while on her deathbed - puts his gloved hand just over the tips of her fingers, and Steph can’t help but wonder who of the two of them he’s trying to comfort. It’s a mean thought, but she is having trouble remembering to keep it optimistic. Must be a side effect of dying.

    “Don’t worry, Stephanie. She’ll never want for anything, I promise.”

    Or; this started out as four moments where Stephanie and each of the Robins talk about pregnancy. accidental plot happened along the outlining.
