Summary
An increasingly under-the-weather Mulder stubbornly tries to pursue a lead in a rainstorm (because of course he does) and an increasingly annoyed-with-the-whole-situation Scully ends up tenderly caring for him (because of course she does).
He looks, Scully thinks, remarkably like a puppy that’s been left out on the porch in a thunderstorm and is unsure whether it’s still wanted. She resists the urge to reach over and pat his head accordingly, reassuringly.
