    Zack heard it when he was pursuing Cloud after he ran away from the meeting.

     

    Of course they shouldn’t have rushed things with him. They should have been gentle.

     

    He followed the sounds of the crying till they resonated in the corridor.

     

    At the end, he found a young child who couldn’t be more than 6 years old sitting in the corner. His knees barely muffling his cries.

     

    But more importantly, the blond spiky hair was recognizable from anywhere.

     

    « Cloud..? »

    Or: a time travel AU where everyone goes back in time, but Cloud can’t control the different versions of himself from possessing him.
