Summary
Sai was understandably unsettled when the Uchiha came into the picture, slouching his way onto the training field like he hadn’t been willing to commit mass-slaughter a few months ago. Not that Sai was innately bothered by that fact, seeing as Naruto’s talk-no-jutsu failure rate was low, the Godaime took his trial and sentencing seriously, and none of them were clean of blood. He was more thrown by the way the Uchiha’s presence acted as a liquid accelerant to Naruto and Sakura’s already volatile personalities.

He’s shouting her name, she can hear the terror in his voice, the Kiri nin aren’t attacking her they’re going for him and he’s cutting them down and then the crying of a thousand birds shatters the air and he’s going for a shinobi so, so close to her path, and she finally tells her feet to go faster faster faster.
Rin jumps into the trajectory of the Chidori, aiming for her own heart, but Kakashi’s Sharingan is a violent carousel wide in horror that tells his already prodigious body what to do. She made the crucial error of moving too soon.

He sits on the roof, sweating, and thinks about Phoenix Wright. The stubbornest man he's ever met, and the best. If he's honest, yes, it is largely Phoenix Wright's fault that he ran away, not because of shame, but because being on the receiving end of that constant, bullheaded, endless trust had felt like being cared for in a way that nobody had ever cared for Miles. It had felt good. Better than Miles had any right to feel.
Hence the guilt trip, pun very much intended.

In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.
