“Of course you have my blessing,” he cuts him off, deciding to stop him before he gets ahead of himself. “You’re a stand up guy and you’d be a good partner for...my child.” It’s in that moment that Hakoda realizes he doesn’t know which of his children Zuko is talking about. He assumed Katara but now that he thinks about it Sokka gets along better with him, they did break him out of prison together...Well, he can’t really ask who it is now. He’ll figure it out at some point, right?
Or 5 times Hakoda isn't sure which of his children Zuko is dating and 1 time he is.
