Summary
Eddie Diaz is sure about a total of three things in his life — one: he's gay, which he uncovered during an otherwise unremarkable session with Frank after his return to L.A.; two: he also realized during the same session with Frank (a session that quickly became very remarkable after all) that he's in love with his best friend, who also happens to be his work partner and current platonic bed-mate ("It'll be just like quarantine, it's no big deal!" Buck had said — it's a huge deal); and three: Buck doesn't feel the same way.
So, he doesn't tell Buck how he feels.
For fear of ruining it all — it will change their dynamic forever if he doesn't feel the same and irrevocably fuck it up if he does, and they don't work out anyway. That would be worse than the pining, Eddie tells himself.
But pining is killing him slowly, and decidedly not softly.
Meaning, he's hornier than he's ever been in his entire stupid gay life.

The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
