Summary
Ed limps in around eight and it’s all Roy can do not to get out of his chair and haul the boy to the couch. He waits until Ed is in front of his desk before he speaks, and he doesn’t trust his voice easily because Edward is hurt. There’s a bruise on one cheek and a cut across his brow that has started trickling blood again and Roy wants nothing so much right now as to drag Ed across his desk and catalog his injuries with fingertips and tongue. Ed is exhausted but he’s so used to it that Roy doubts he notices that he’s listing to one side or that his eyes are drooping. Roy watches a bead of crimson slowly track down Ed’s stunning face and forgets to listen to Ed’s voice.

Summary
Judging by the look on Leonard Snart’s annoyingly smug face, he expects Barry to push the napkin with his offer, if it can be called that, back at him in horror. In fairness, every ounce of Barry’s good sense is begging him to do precisely that. Unfortunately for them both, Barry has got a good enough sense of Snart’s games by now to know he’d be playing right into his hands. Whatever “better” offer Snart will substitute in, it won’t actually be better. Barry just won’t be able to refuse him a second time – if he does, the negotiation will be over.
“I do this for you, and you’ll help? You mean it?”

Summary
The kid shocks him enough to make the rest of his planned sentence dissolve before he can voice it—he puts his hand on the gun and pushes it back down.
“No, keep it there, I just said it slows the bleeding.” The kid positions the gun back at Leonard’s side, the power cell radiating cold near the injuries. He doesn’t seem even a little bit worried or afraid, at least not in regards to what Leonard might do to him with that gun. Interesting. Leonard’s eyes narrow. Time for a change of plan.
“Why don’t we make a deal?” he asks the kid, and that finally startles a kernel of his attention away from his unusual concern over Leonard’s wellbeing. He looks up, confusion and a grain of wariness on his face. So he has some common sense after all.
