Who would have guessed that optimism could turn you into an enemy of the state? But this is exactly the situation team RWBY finds themselves in. General Ironwood plans to split the twin cities, Atlas and Mantle, abandoning the latter, to avoid a confrontation with Salem’s imminent Grimm invasion. The young huntresses believe they should stand their ground to defend both. Divided over this contention, the heroes face great difficulties to cope with seemingly insurmountable challenges. Is Salem going to attain the Relics and crush humanity’s last hope or will the Kingdom of Atlas prevail?
Ciel Soleil, a specialist of the Atlesian Military, present at the right place at the worst time, is shoved into the ensuing chaos, uncertain whether she — or her sanity — will survive this ordeal.
Team RWBY and their companions should hope they chose wisely, because the conclusion of this campaign is going to decide the fate of humanity.
This is an alternative timeline for the second half of the Atlas arc, where the heroes make different decisions from canon, leading to different outcomes. The story will have a bigger focus on Weiss’ struggles, while Ciel Soleil, Penny’s teammate from volume 3, gains a big role.

Betrayal is not something to be taken lightly. Especially when the person who betrays you is your own sister.
Set during Volume 7. WR is not established yet, Bees are being Bees, Ironwood is an asshole and Winter is not who Weiss thinks she is.
