Summary
When Hinata and Kageyama stumble on some kind of probably ancient, possibly magical relic in the woods behind their school, they don’t think too much of it. That is, until Hinata starts having debilitating back pain and freaky nightmares. Kageyama is sure it must have something to do with their strange discovery. He brings Hinata back there, desperate for a way to get his teammate back to normal. But the boys end up getting way more than they bargained for, and suddenly find themselves in a whole new world they never could have imagined.

“Lloyd?” Kai called out again as he approached. He heard a small movement inside and what sounded like a soft whimper.
“Hey, are you in here?” he asked again as he cautiously opened the door, slightly confused and wondering if maybe Lloyd hadn’t heard him clearly before. “Dinner’s read-“ he stopped mid-sentence when he saw Lloyd sitting curled up on the bathroom floor with his back against the wall and his head between his knees.
——My little interpretation of the immediate aftermath of Lloyd’s age-up. I imagine this takes place in the evening following the events of Lloyd’s age-up episode (S2E5). If you’re looking for some light angst and adorable fluff of Kai being the bestest big brother to Lloyd, then this is the fic for you.

“Derek,” Avery’s voice barely whispers, his heart pounding. D3rlord’s skin felt ice-cold under his fingers when he reached for him. The rain started, slow at first, then fat drops drumming on the grass, soaking through them both. D3rlord’s hand brushed Avery’s face, barely skimming the skin on his cheek, before dropping back to his lap. He shivered, and then his eyes fluttered shut. Avery’s breath hitched as D3rlord’s body went limp against his own. The cold seeped deeper now, not just from the rain, but from the fragile thread holding him here, slipping away with every shallow breath. He pressed a hand to D3rlord’s forehead. Panic twisted in Avery’s gut.
“Stay with me,” Avery whispered, voice cracking. His fingers trembled as he pulled D3rlord closer, wrapping his arms around him like a shield. With a grunt, Avery hoisted D3rlord into his arms. The weight of his body was almost too heavy for him to hold.
“Just a little further,” Avery murmured, stepping forward into the rain-soaked night, the cold biting their wet skin. “We’ll find help” -
