“Uh,” Ichiro said, glancing around the open area, “Have either of you guys seen my jacket? I thought I had it on last night.”
Samatoki and Kuko, for just a split second, seemed to have some sort of mental conversation. Ichiro wasn’t sure how to interpret the situation, nor was he entirely sure how he felt about it. He’d been able to bury the hatchet with the other men long ago, but something twinged in his chest when he saw them together, somehow connecting with each other and wearing twin expressions that looked almost… coy. Was it a good feeling? A bad feeling?
Or some secret third thing?

Because I firmly believe that Ichiro deserves to be thoroughly saturated with plenty of sauce, as any good hunk of meat in a spit roast should.
