This is a live example of how an author can create linked footnotes in their work with only a little bit of HTML and no workskins required. This is best viewed by clicking "Entire Work". While I've included the actual coding in bold and italic once you click "Hide Creator's Style", there's a more detailed explanation here.
EDIT 6/28/17: The third chapter now shows how to use anchor links as an index/table of contents.

Pen sends a risky text to Colin even though they're at a family gathering. Even though they're not together. Even though they have never, EVER done anything of the sort before. But it's just a joke, so it's probably fine, right? Right???

Summary
Shaking off the daze, he becomes aware that Anthony is staring at him through the mirror pensively, eyes bobbing up and down from his chest to his eyes. “You should probably tell her you have feelings for her before you show her that.”
“Feelings?” Colin turns to look at his brother.
“You cannot be this dense, Colin,” Anthony says, expression deadpan.
“Dense about what?” Colin says exasperatedly. “It’s just a tattoo. I already have a bunch of them. Besides, I think she’ll find it funny.”
“You wanna tell a joke? Send her a meme. You don’t get a tattoo of her name.” Anthony rolls his eyes and shakes his head, which, to be fair, is what he does at most of the things Colin says anyway.

Summary
It's the annual Bridgerton Christmas Party and Colin has two objectives; stay long enough to get his sisters off his back, and avoid Penelope Featherington at all costs. So when Penelope finds HIM, drunk as a skunk and determined to hash everything between them out, Colin wonders what he did in a past life to warrant this kind of torture. Because he's going to look after her, isn't he? Going to make sure she gets home safe. Going to make sure she has everything she needs even as his heart gets more mangled with every worthless beat. Of course he is. And he's going to be very dramatic about it the whole time, too.
