    And then Hoshina fell backwards. They wries connecting the suit to the computers snapped. Instead of landing on the concrete of the testing facility, he hit water, unable to move a muscle. Before he could take a final breath, the waves crashed over him and he sank.
    I need to understand, 10 whispered, and all Hoshina could do was sink further and sink and sink into this cold prison.

    After attempting synchronisation with Kaiju No. 10, it leaves Hoshina in a comatose state. The key to bringing him back may not lie in the present, but in the memories he shares with Mina, Okonogi and - to everyone's surprise - Narumi.
