Summary
Born as a human into a world where angels rule, Seonghwa has never been in control of his own fate. Stolen away from his village at fifteen, he found himself forced into a despicable man-made movement dedicated to manufacturing metal wings and fusing them to the backs of stolen humans, all in the attempt to fight back against the angel regime. Brainwashed and exploited, they are known as silverwings.
Hope has never been in the cards for Seonghwa.
Born as a true angel, Hongjoong has dedicated his life to a resistance of his own creation, focused on the rehabilitation of any and all silverwings he can manage to save from their cruel fate. When a mission ambush ends in Seonghwa’s rescue, however, he proves to be a far more difficult case than anyone had bargained for - especially Hongjoong.
Thankfully, Hongjoong has never been one to surrender.

Hongjoong gets misdiagnosed with a terminal illness, and has to deal with the emotional fallout of the consequences of being separated from his pack forever. He does his best to hide his fears and worries, not wanting to put it on the rest of the members, but he finds that opening up might have been the best solution all along. And along with it, he gets what he's always desired most, Seonghwa.
