Summary
Okay, the thing about Peter was that he was good at research. No, correction: he was fucking amazing at it. He was good at finding all the information they would ever need and even more so that they won’t, but what Peter is absolute shit at is actually putting things together into a sound theory. He has his moments of clarity, but there is a reason Sam has a string thing. Sam is the one who connects the dots, which is why it wasn’t a total surprise that Peter was so off the mark about him.
But, again, Peter’s good at getting all the intel, and if the viewers were just a fraction more observant than he was, they would come to a different conclusion about Sam.
And that was terrifying.

"Leave it," Eddie says, his voice pulled taut like a wire about to snap, tight enough to hum.
Buck looks at him, and Eddie’s whole body has gone so rigid he looks carved from stone, but Buck will ruminate on that later. But he can't exactly leave his phone under the seat for the next eight hundred miles, it's got his whole life on it, every stupid photo he's ever taken of Christopher and Eddie and Eddie and Christopher and, embarrassingly, just Eddie, so many just-Eddies, an entire hidden album of candids he'll never admit to because they constitute evidence of something he's been pretending he doesn't feel.
"I can't leave it, it's my phone. It's got— hold on, I think it slid under your seat."

It’s as if Eddie doesn’t even know him, because Buck has never once heard the word don’t and responded with anything resembling obedience. So now he’s stretching across the center console with one hand braced on Eddie’s thigh for leverage, the other reaching blindly into the dark gap beneath the driver’s seat, and he’s aware on some level that his positioning is— that he’s essentially— that his head is—

Cas stretches out in the backseat while Dean takes up the front, and Dean’s pretty devoted to gritting his teeth until he can catch an hour or two of sleep, but sleep won’t take, and it just doesn’t take long at all for him to start shivering despite the layers.
After maybe half an hour of shivering, he hears rustling behind him, picks himself up by the elbows to peer over the back of the front bench, and sees Cas shedding clothes.
“... what are you doing?”
“I am preparing to share body heat with you,” Cas answers flatly, already out of his coat and jacket, unbuttoning his collared shirt and shrugging it off; his shoulders and arms look immense in the thin undershirt beneath.
“W-We won’t be doing that—”
