Jason, just as the rest of the family besides Bruce, believes Timothy to be unchanged by Gotham. Where the previous Robins had been taken under the city’s wing, allofed the darkness that collected in dark alleys and the mist that hung over the harbor, Red Robin was supposedly an outlier. And, at first, that had been true. Gotham had rejected him, grieving her previous chick and raging at the idea of a replacement.
Yet Tim had stayed.
And he was rewarded with meager drops of her gifts.
Whereas Grayson and Todd’s otherworldly nature is undeniable, Tim’s stays undetectable.AKA: Gotham has a love/hate relationship with Tim and Jason's just as crazy and obsessive about Red Robin as the city is. Timothy thinks he's about to get killed.

Especially not when the bats get involved with their trashy next door neighbor whose behavior seems more and more contradictory.
Tim had saved them all more times than he could count, maybe this time they could return the favor.
