Shane Hollander did not gossip.
It wasn't that he had no desire to— far from it, in fact. He enjoyed processing verbally, would often ramble to himself in the privacy of his Montreal home and could only imagine how gratifying telling everything to someone else would be. But, the things he wanted to gossip about all tended to center around one very big, very scandalous secret. (Read: one very big, very scandalous Russian)
Luckily for Shane Hollander, there was exactly one person in his life he knew he could trust with big, scandalous secrets.

Coming out to the Pike's was not the plan for the evening.
It wasn't even in the top 10 list.
And yet, here Shane is, sitting on their living room floor, having fought Rose Landry to get his phone back, and making a Face. He knows he is making a face, he can feel his forehead scrunching and his jaw aching and he can do nothing about it except wait for -
"So who's Lily?!"
Fuck.
This is mostly a series of vignettes focusing on Shane's friendships with Rose, Jackie and Hayden, in that order.

When coming out to the Voyageurs leaves him wondering what his future in Montreal might look like, he lets himself be a little selfish, he lets himself wonder if there might be somewhere else he might be happy. If Montreal wants to get rid of a generational player, he's not about to stop them, especially if it means he can get a little closer to joy.
