Blitzo feels his stomach twist into a knot, and he blames it immediately on the Chinese food he had last night. It has to be the Kung Pao chicken. Nothing else would explain this weird, squirmy sensation. Definitely the Kung Pao chicken. Or maybe the lo mein. Too much sodium. Not this feeling. Nope. Nothing to do with the way Stolas's laugh makes the room feel a little too warm or the way it tugs at something deep inside him, something he'd rather throw in a dumpster and set on fire.
No reason at all for his chest to feel tight or his face to heat up. It's just... a bad tummy ache. Or allergies. Or maybe even a migraine.
