Summary
Almost every morning without fail, Ochako was shocked awake with the feeling of drying blood across her body, the phantom pressure of a body pressed against hers, and the softest voice telling her thanks. Ochako would lay awake, too early to explain her being awake if her parents saw her out of her room, and try to latch onto every detail of her memory. She feared the day she forgot what Toga looked like, or sounded like- what she felt like, the warmth of her smile. She would commit every inch of Toga’s memory permanently, personally protecting her from being forgotten to time.
It was the only thing she could think to do for the girl who saved her life.

Chat could feel his heart pounding out of his chest, he felt like cold water had been dumped over him, he felt like every metaphor you could make for ‘oh no’ if it was all stamped down into one very stressed teenage boy stuck in his ex-girlfriend’s bedroom. The idea of erasing anything out of Marinette’s head made him so sick he was worried he would actually vomit, he was sure his face was pale even with the mask in the way, and he could feel those plastic ears on his head curling to stick themselves against his hair not unlike a real cat would- he’d seen Plagg do the same thing.
“I need to find out if this information will get back to Adrien.” Marinette spoke with conviction, before turning back to look Chat in the eyes again, “I want to fill you in, Chat Noir, but Adrien Agreste cannot know what I’m about to tell you.”
It was sickening, actually, to have to try and find words to this that weren’t the easiest and most obvious.

Her head was still in her hands when she heard the shuffle of feet outside her door, and try as she might Pomni really couldn’t tell everyone's footsteps apart yet- except Zooble, when one of their feet made a specific noise. The person didn’t knock, so Pomni had a guess of who it was, but still she figured she would get up and just talk to them anyways. As she walked to the door she chanted in her head “Gangle, not Ragatha, Gangle, not Ragatha-” and when she did finally turn the knob she saw-
“Jax?!” She shoved a hand over her mouth before continuing more quietly, “What are you doing-?”

Summary
With Aether gone, she really was alone. It had been easy enough to ignore before now, but it had really almost been a year since she braided his hair or laid a soft kiss on the scrapes he always got on his knees. It had been so long since she’d last had to threaten the storming clouds when Aether felt bad about being stuck inside as it rained.
Everything reminded her of Aether. Of her brother- the brother she’d lost. It seemed that even every breath tasted foul with rotten nostalgia. In the beginning, Teyvat feeling so much like home helped Lumine not feel quite so isolated- but now it was just rubbing in how truly alone she was. This wasn’t her home, no matter how much it may feel that way. Her home was gone, gone with Aether, gone with their wings and gone with the freedom of hopping worlds.

It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.

one of THE fics of all time, for me, i think. a fic i had to put down at multiple points just to go for a walk and get some fresh air. a fic that made me squirm in my seat as i imagined what the details would look/smell/sound like. an absolute masterpiece.
i mean how could you not love a fic where mike eats will's eye? <3

I never would've guessed how invested I would get in this story, and how much I connect to Petal's struggles within it so far. I really feel for her situation, ever-changing as it is, and as someone who loves to imagine many of the like... million kits who didn't get to make it to their warrior ceremony- I dunno! It's nice to know that other people get attached to these lil fellas. The writing is so easy to read, and I say that as the biggest compliment- I didn't even notice chewing through 5-6 chapters at a time when I first read through it! I really don't have much more to say, but I just know that this is one of my guiltiest of pleasures. I'm so glad I stumbled into this masterpiece, it's inspired me in ways I can never express enough gratitude for.
