This is how it happens, the spark:
One day on the streets Rei meets an old college friend, who looks at her too-thin face and darting eyes and asks very gently, “Rei-chan, are you okay?” And Rei, who has not seen any of her friends in years and years, gets a stress breakdown right there and then.
(There is familial solidarity and there is also Being the Eldest. Fuyumi knows conflict diversion and Dabi knows spite, and together what it means is this: mess with Shouto or Natsu or Rei, and you may find your apartment smelling of burning, and all your houseplants mysteriously frozen.)
(Todoroki Rei leaves her husband's house. There are job interviews, panic attacks, two very unexpected neigbours and one Midoriya Inko. On rebuilding a life, and making sure the kids are alright.)

EXTREMELY GOOD BODYSWAP FIC
though Lucy hasn't quite told Jonathan yet, the *weight* off the story and off both their minds when she dropped the pretense and promised to tell him soon (once they were on the train...but now their on the train)
And LOVE LOVE LOVE Lucy's taste of independence and empathy/perspective on Jonathan, how she tries to treat him well based on her experience being cared for but fussed over as an invalid.
Conversely (and in complementary way) Mina relating to Jack and Van Helsing. **AND ARTHUR*** how she communicates with him and HE BELIEVES HER AND SUPPORTS HER AND DOES EVERYHING TO HELP(Also lol @ Train Fiend Mina taking the spotlight for the first half of the fic).
The vampirism and blood transfusion squicked me unfortunately, mostly bc so well written. That does not at all diminish my love for this fic. All Daily Dracula fans (who are Harker fans at least) should read this !!

She'd spoken English on the assumption that most people in the room would likely understand it, but when the man turned it became apparent that he was Japanese. Haruhi knew this because she recognised his face. It was the face of Japan's ace skater, Katsuki Yuuri.
"K-K-Katsuki Yuuri-senshu!" Haruhi clapped her hand over her mouth, feeling the blood rise to her face.
"Ah," said Katsuki. He was different off the ice. His spectacles reduced the impact of his eyes, and the shape of his face was somehow softer, less distinctive. "Do I know you?"
Yuuri makes a friend. Viktor hates it.

(The best part is Viktor working himself up into fits of jealousy over petty bullshit, which is dysfunctional but hilarious, and Haruhi just repeatedly failing to be impressed with Viktor's fame, personality, or weirdness)
