Getting back home after yet another failed date should feel good, but it just leaves Eddie feeling empty. He sees Buck sitting on the couch completely absorbed in some shark documentary on TV. After doing a small detour to check on Chris, who's fast asleep, Eddie grabs two beers from the fridge before going to join Buck on the couch and sits down, leaving no room between them.
“Here, don't make me drink alone,” he says, handing over one of the bottles and watching as Buck twists it open.
“That bad, huh?” Buck smirked.

It’s absolutely not the dream Eddie just had about licking all of the sweat off Buck after he’s been to the gym. Eddie rolls over and checks the time. It’s 3am. He’s not thinking about how delicious it felt to have his tongue on the planes of Buck’s body. He’s not thinking about how he’s so hard it’s dizzying. Eddie isn’t gay. So none of this is happening. It’s just that Eddie is missing Buck, and he’s a bit pent up so his mind has decided to conflate the two. That’s all it is. That’s all it can be. Because otherwise Eddie has fucked up massively
