"Alice" la riportò al presente la madre. Si destò all'improvviso, allarmata, girandosi verso di lei. Nonostante la voce della madre suonava come al solito, il cuore di Alice saltò un battito, nel panico. Fu però il padre a continuare: "Tra qualche giorno verrà in visita la famiglia Neumann, una famiglia rispettabile con un figlio in età da marito.".
Marito.
"Non devi preoccuparti di nulla, io e il signor Neumann ci siamo già messi d'accordo. L'unica cosa che resta è il vostro incontro. Il matrimonio verrà celebrato a fine mese."
Quella sera Alice la ricorderà per sempre un po' confusa, non ricordando esattamente cosa rispose. La sua mente si svuotò e non rimase altro che un grazioso burattino alle cui estremità dei fili non si trovava lei.

Summary
Anakin hasn't slept in three days.
He's tried to, of course, albeit half-heartedly. Exhaustion weighs heavily on him, and he knows he needs to get himself in order soon. The Council is likely only going to give him and Ahsoka another week of rest at the temple before they ship out again, and if he stays like he is now, he'll be dead within a few seconds of a space battle.
Obi-Wan would probably tell him to meditate on why he was avoiding sleep. Or give him some herbal tea blend that tasted like grass to help him get drowsy.
Usually, it would probably have helped. Not the meditation, of course, or the tea. But Obi-Wan's presence usually soothed him like nothing else could. Knowing someone was looking out for him, cared about him, wanted him to be safe and happy, that's what usually helped.
But that was all Before. Before Obi-Wan faked his death. Before he lied to Anakin, used his grief to make it believable.

Summary
Anakin hasn’t seen Obi-Wan look this stressed since the Chancellor-Elect, Bail Organa, tried to publicly give him a commemorative medal of valor for the actions he took to take down Darth Sidious. It’s not an expression he’s missed on his old master’s face.
“Now, Master,” Anakin says, holding both hands out as if to calm a raging buni beast. Obi-Wan raises both eyebrows in response. One eyebrow is bad enough. Both is like a declaration of intent to murder.

Anakin and Obi-Wan are shipwrecked (passive voice intended) on a jungle planet. With their comm-units either burning in the wreckage or otherwise out of commission, they find the time to do something they've been putting off for ages: communicate.

Summary
Maybe Anakin shouldn't have pushed her Master so far. Obi-Wan is practically crackling at the seams, arms crossed under her robes and eyes flickering with intent fire. She leans against the opposite wall of the seedy cantina, watching Anakin steadily as Anakin continues talking to the Nautolan in the booth next to her.
(Or, Anakin tries to make Obi-Wan jealous to get what she wants.)

Summary
“We have no intention of being unkind,” Mace Windu says, his deep voice cutting through the murmur of the Jedi Council chambers, silencing the debate. “It is understandable that Anakin’s circumstances are somewhat … unique.”
For a moment, Obi-Wan feels a flicker of relief, a fragile thread of hope that maybe, just maybe, they will understand.
“However, the upcoming operation could very well determine the entire course of the war.” Windu continues, tone heavy with gravity. “Tell me, Obi-Wan, can you assure me - with absolute certainty - that if Skywalker is injured, you will not act … unwisely?”
“More important is,” Master Yoda adds, his ears lifting ever slightly, “if hurt, you are, Skywalker’s behaviour, remain wise, will it, hmm?”
On the eve of a major battle, the Jedi Council orders Master Kenobi to cut the lingering training bond with his former padawan.
