Summary
It's rare when Aedes Elysiae is pulled into a political alliance with a City-state that wants to forge a union to exchange harvest yields for protection. However, it's pretty common for Phainon to be pulled into surprising twists of life without much of a say in the matter, rather bearing the brunt of hard decisions than make someone else sacrifice their freedom in her little village. The most nerve-wracking part of the whole occasion was that she wasn't allowed to know who she was marrying. The one perk was that least it was a Kremnoan, giving her an excuse to finally visit the City-state of her childhood dreams.
...though, maybe they should have told her she was marrying into royalty.

Uncorking the bottle, he let out a sigh, a faint melody lilting with each swish and swirl, reminding him of his birth. A lullaby that meant to cradle him to life, gentle hands that nursed him into coherency, tear drop eyes and a split of divinity, his now life-long friend walking through their shared humanity with obstacles and misunderstanding, duty bound and still in love with life itself. It reminded him of tiny creatures born of destruction, their small forms fitting into his arms just right, their otherness equal to his, their ambitions awe aspiring.
It was home. He was going to reunite with himself of a past he wasn’t reborn with, experiencing what he should have had.

The Kremnoan people believe in Mydei. They have no reason to doubt his protection, his words, his promises. If he say they will not starve, then it shall be so. It’s this ironclad faith that keeps the Kremnoan youth calm, and his other seniors quiet; they trust Mydei’s direction.
All Phainon can slowly gather is that Mydei will never eat when his people might go hungry.
A mission has them marooned on a stretch of beach. Mydei refuses to eat, so Phainon won't, either.

“What!? I never burned anything!” Phainon huffs back, taking a deep breath. “It's... you're my best friend, Mydeimos. And, well… you dated guys before and…”
Mydei’s blood runs cold. He doesn’t like where this is going.
“...So would you watch this movie with me and tell me if this is really how… men do it?”
Or; Phainon might be an innocent academic nerd in theory. In practice, Mydei is starting to seriously question the “innocent” part.

Summary
The outcomes of Mydei and Phainon’s daily competitions have gotten them nowhere in terms of declaring a decisive winner. That is why Stelle suggests the two women go a different route: compete in a drinking contest, where the winner will be able to command the loser as they please for an entire day.
Mydei, raised among Kremnoan warriors and highly confident in her ability to drink anyone under the table, accepts without hesitation. Phainon accepts for an entirely different reason. Unfortunately for both of them, Phainon’s idea of a day spent commanding Mydei has very little to do with victory, intending to make her feelings unmistakably clear to the princess.
Mydei, naturally, has no idea what Phainon is doing.

Summary
After a suppressant mix-up, an unmated omega Mydei goes into heat for the first time in four years. With no signs of letting up after nearly a week, Mydei finally caves and downloads an app that supposedly matches desperate omegas in heat with the Alpha of their dreams to help them through it. Mydei is matched with a female Alpha named Phainon, and at first, everything seems perfect... that is, until they finally meet face to face, and Mydei realizes that he forgot to mention his height preferences.
Luckily, what she lacks in height, she more than makes up for in might.
