It never used to be this hard. And then it was. And Oikawa couldn’t do the things he normally did. At least not without some additional mental breakdowns to go along with it. He used to pride himself on his ability to keep himself calm under pressure. But now his mind swarmed with so many thoughts, and at the same time, none at all. His brain was too loud, and yet some days it felt unsettlingly empty. It got harder to stay on task and finish his assignments on time. His confidence was slipping away, and was feeling emotionally empty much more than he knew he should be. He’s felt this mix of emotions and symptoms before, was well aware of how they affected his life in the past, and he knew what he was in for a bad few weeks.
But they only used to last a few weeks.
