Maybe Aziraphale would like him better then, without the sinful eyes of Eve’s tempter ruining his God-crafted face. He hated knowing that he would rip them right out if that was all it took. He hated knowing that he would take self-mutilation for just an ounce of Aziraphale’s love- Aziraphale who wouldn’t couldn’t even turn down a job offer for him. A job offer from the same people who tried to cast Aziraphale into Hellfire and destroy his very being. From the same people who watched, amused, as Crowley was thrust downwards at a million-light-year speed, fire burning his throat, his wings, his eyes and leaving him with the kind of scars time couldn’t wipe off of his body or his soul.
