So, when he realizes that the quirkless can’t technically be vigilantes, it seems like the best of both worlds. He’ll be able to save people even without being a hero and, if he happens to die while he’s at it...well, like Kacchan said, maybe he’d be born with a quirk in the next life.

In the aftermath of the war, Izuku has recovered physically, but there are still ghosts haunting him, whispers saying he didn't do enough. Every second, he's haunted by a feeling he can't get rid of, and nobody notices how much pain he's in.
But Katsuki notices. His friends, old and new, notice. And a whole lot more people than he'd realized. And they're not going to give up on him, because as long as Izuku’s still fighting for his life, the battle isn't over.
