“Well... I’d rather be anywhere but here,” Wanda responded, shrugging her shoulders.
It wasn’t quite the truth.
Her enjoyment of the stupid gala had increased drastically since the moment he arrived.
But it wasn’t because of the place or the event.
It was simply Vision.
“How about the dance floor?” Vision suddenly asked, turning towards her, and all Wanda could give him was a confused “huh?”
“You said you’d rather be anywhere but here. May I have this dance?” he repeated, holding out his hand to her, and Wanda could barely think over the loud drumbeat of her heart.

“This is unfair,” Wanda grumbled. “You have a synthetic brain.”
Vision tilted his head. “I am simply utilizing the same strategies available to you. You are more than capable of winning.”
Wanda rolled her eyes, her Sokovian accent slipping through again as she muttered, “Yeah, right.” She decided to switch tactics, leaning back as if casually thinking aloud. “So, Vizh… tell me, what’s your take on free will?”
Vision’s hand hovered above the board, and he paused. “An intriguing question. Free will may be a construct born of—”
As he got further into his response, Wanda moved her piece quietly, biting back a smile. “I don’t quite think you finished that thought there Vizh, but it sounded like you going into checkmate.”
Vision glanced back at the board, his mouth curving into a slight smile of his own. “Interesting strategy, Wanda. But, unfortunately for you…” He slid his bishop into place. “Checkmate.”
OR Wanda's story from the end of AOU to the start of CA:CW.

For nearly three years, Natasha and Wanda have been establishing their home and family. They seem to have built perfect lives. Wanda is studying at an Ivy League school with her aunt just up the road, and Natasha is going on missions with her partner and boyfriend. Nightly phone calls and plans for the holidays keep the girls close. However, this idyllic life isn't as stable as it may seem as the foundation is shaken to its core.

Summary
Wanda’s magic takes her to America Chavez after the events of MoM, who decides she wants to give Wanda a chance and takes her to another universe for a fresh start. However, America is sent back to fetch her once the Sorcerer Supreme finds out since letting her remain in the wrong universe risks an incursion. Upon returning to MCU 616, Wanda slowly tries to pick up the pieces from the mess her corrupted self made previously, reunites with a few old friends and is eventually able to make some new ones. Thoroughly a fix-it fic!
(This will be an EXTREMELY minor crossover in the end. Figured I would mention this so no one is disappointed/annoyed! Wanda does not stay outside of her universe for very long. She returns to 616 in ch5.)
