'“I fell into a pool of blood, if you can believe. I think it’s in my ears.” Grace huffs a breathy laugh. “Somehow it’s not even in the top ten worst things that've happened to me today.”

She’s a strong girl. She’s going to be okay. Leon flexes his hands again, slips his gloves off, and finally puts his ring back onto his unmarked, uninfected finger, where it belongs.'

Or: Leon and Grace navigate what comes after the events of Requiem. Grace tries to cope and move forward, Leon processes some old hurts and tries to make it better for her, and Chris takes his husband to bed.

    Part 1:

"No. Not interested. At all. Ever."

"You haven't even let me describe my newest accessory."

Alastor sighed dramatically. "Listen. I know how unreasonably proud you are of... switching out your sausages. But I've had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing the inside of his work briefcase"—he jerked a thumb over his shoulder toward the fluffy pink dancer on the nightclub's main stage—"and so I can assure you, there is nothing you could have wired to your groin that is either novel to me or appealing to me. Enjoy your evening." Alastor spun on one foot and trotted off.

    "It's a microphone."

Alastor stopped five steps away. "What kind."

    Part 2:

“Would you look at this masterpiece! The granddaddy of the greatest microphones in the world. That elegant, dramatic design—"

"Ohhh god," Vox groaned, spreading his knees wider. "I seriously underestimated how hot this was going to be."

Alastor raised his head from between Vox's thighs to glower.

"Well?" Vox smirked. "Go on. Call me ‘granddaddy’ again.”

"You're making it very hard to get into this."

"Do you know what you're making ‘very hard’—"

Hell is other people. Purgatory is being a twenty something weatherman with the memories of a being a media overlord who had the entirety of Hell wrapped around his finger.

Sent back to his mortal life with a chance to "do it right this time", Vox has a problem. The Angels have installed a patch in his soul: the Pacifist Protocol. If he tries to kill a rival, poison a boss, or throw a punch, he is paralyzed by blinding agony.

He cannot claw his way to the top if he can't use his claws. He needs a loophole.

    Summary

When the door clicked shut, William decided to test the tensile strength of self-control and slid his arms under Sherlock’s to hug him—head to shoulder, full weight. The audible release of tension was deliberate, and it tugged at every string Sherlock pretended not to have.
Arms closed around him at once.

“You manipulative bastard…” Sherlock whispered into pale hair, added a kiss for punctuation.

“You know what that does to me…”

    “Whaaaat?”

    “Emotional blackmail.”

A soft laugh; the hug didn’t end. Not new, exactly, but usually a bed-or-sofa activity. Casual limbs were acceptable; affection in the hallway, in wet coats, was rare currency.

“I’m too tired to blackmail you…”

“I’ve survived for years solely because you get tired at the right moments.” Another kiss—temple, this time.
