Summary
Bluestreak would never forget the day Praxus was destroyed. He wasn’t sure if he even wanted to if he was being honest. If anyone asked he would say of course he would, who wouldn’t want to forget the worst thing that ever happened to him? But deep in his spark, Bluestreak knew that day would always be a part of him, whether he wanted it to or not.
Praxus was destroyed by the Decepticons. Bluestreak was the only survivor by design. Part of him wished he died with the rest of his home.

'Sunstreaker was having a rough cycle. It was a rough couple of cycles, to be honest. He needed time to himself. To relax. He needed to calm down. He knew he was angry and tired and hurt and Primus help him if he had to see one more cube of energon it would be too soon.
And the first thing he was going to do was paint.'Everything is pissing Sunstreaker off. He wants to see Bluestreak. And Paint. Both of those things would be nice.

“Optimus?” Bluestreak was able to say out before Sunstreaker could stop him.
“He’s fine.” Sunstreaker growled, a wild snarl on his faceplates. Bluestreak wished he would smile. Sunstreaker was always pretty when he smiled. It was like one of his paintings when he smiled, beautiful in every way and created by Sunstreaker which made it automatically perfect. “You took the blow meant for him.”
Through the pain Bluestreak felt relief. Optimus was safe. “Hurts.” Bluestreak managed to get out before he whimpered in pain. The pressure on his spark was increasing. He could feel his fuel pumps working overtime as they were trying to compensate for the loss of energon.
Stasis was pulling him in and Bluestreak couldn’t ignore it any longer."
The day had started with talking to Sunstreaker while he was working on the detection panels for Wheeljack. He didn't think it would end with a hole in his chassis as Sunstreaker was begging him to stay awake.

“Dead? I hear that a lot lately,” Max says, hoping Jetfire won’t notice how his voice has changed, whetted down to a fine point by time. “I can’t imagine why.”

“Empathy,” Max repeats, rolling the word around in his mouth and finding that it doesn’t quite encompass it, not entirely. “I don’t think that’s it. Not entirely. I feel… envious. That it was over so quickly. I wish… it could have been over like that for me."
