Jane : anyways Archivist the reason why i gathered everyone here is to inform you about the entities and the fact that you are slowly becoming slightly eldritch
Jane : you cannot quit the institute and the only way out is aligning yourself with another fear (talk to @let's vast the vast ), dying and choosing not to come back, or (apparently) gouging your eyes out (according to @Unofficial Archivist )
Jane : right now you serve the Eye which is the fear of being seen, being Known, forbidden knowledge, knowing things without your consent, being watched, and being forced to do nothing except watch in horrific situations
Jane : as Archivist youll start to become reliabt on Statements and if you die and choose to come back youll starve to the pain if you cant read or hear any
Jane : i dont really think i have to explain what i mean when i say "pain" and not "death"
Jane : the first ability youll notice is the the ability to Compel people which is forcing them to answer your questions truthfully and without hiding anything. people can choose to obey the Compulsion but its generally considered rude to Compel someone without asking
Jane : Compelling Strangers can be painful or even deadly depending on how much the Stranger is resisting the Compulsion
Jane : idk much about Compelling creatures or avatars of the Spiral but i cant guess that itll go well
Jane : the second ability is the ability to just randomly Know things
Jane : information will just find its way to your mind without any input from you or (if the Knowledge is about someone else) anyone else
