I wanna be yours: This has to be a love song. There is no way it isn't. If it's not I'll eat my own shoes.
Therefore I am: Something philosophical maybe? Could be a love song as well in a "I love, therefore I am" type of way
Copycat: I'm not completely sure, but it could be about one of the MANY sls copycats throughout the years? Their entire brand was very positive and uplifting, so it'd make sense that this one ended up on a hard-drive if it was negative.
Mount Everest: This one is tough. Possibly overcoming a great obstacle or making a great achievement.
Too Sweet: Am I insane for thinking that this one might be similar to 'Copycat'? It might be about honeyed words.
Figure you out: It might be about their earlier days, figuring out her role in the group and figuring them out so that they'd work as well as possible. Or she just wants to figure them out in different ways wink wink nudge nudge
Talk: This might be a sad one guys. I think it could possibly be her just begging them to talk to her, even tho they're no longer here. I'm praying that I'm wrong, but it's my guess.
I feel like this entire album is a bit more of a wildcard than the other album, in a "I'm trying to find anything that can distract the fanbase" type of way. It's going to be really interesting (I say as if I'm not actively harassing my wife about my theories lmao)

🐰: It ended publicly when the sls beat them by a landslide in the idol awards, sls taking home every category that year! They were the first group to ever do that!
🐰: More privately it continued for a bit, there were photos showing the guys seemingly arguing with different members of sls here and there. But never anything concrete.
🐰: Except for one picture taken that made the news and showed Celine staring down the leader of the group. Wait gimme a sec- [scurries off to get phone, comes back in a few moments]
🐰: Here! [We can't see the screen, but I feel it's safe to assume she's showing them THE photo.]
🐱: Why are they matching?
🐰: I did say they copied styles too, right? The leader was, like, really obsessed with copying Celine.

Yearning. This is literally just devoted, not particularly horny, just a pre-relationship song that has a different tone than the sad ones we saw in the previous album. It actually does seem like most of these songs were written before her retirement from the music industry.
She wants them both to know that she is willing to mold herself into what they want and need so that they will need/want her. Wait a fucking minute. Holy shit, it's kind of a sad one! Don't let the beat fool you! This sounds devoted (and it is) but it also addresses the unhealthy need of wanting to change yourself so that you will be chosen!

Okay, this one is actually really fun! Especially since I think Zoey is right. (Which is really impressive of her, literally all of these scandals are buried to hell and back, and there isn't much on the internet about them since this was before social media really became a thing. It does really sound like Celine was just ranting about these assholes but also reminding them of who she and her girls are in relation to them. "We are not the same with or without." Even if sls wasn't as famous, they'd still be different, better, than boy-group (i am so sorry but i've blocked their name out of my head and can't for the life of me remember it). They've never stolen anything, and they always kept to themselves unless provoked. Completely different from these guys. At the same time she just sounds hot. "Get my pretty name out of your mouth"? Again: Not much to say except for the fact that I am so dissapointed that the label most likely wióuld have strung them up by their ankles if they went public with these in their prime. It was complelty understandable that they were (especially Celine in this case) annoyed with the group that were constantly harassing them.
Unfortunately, not only was their brand far more wholesome than theses songs are, they were also women in the industry. This would have definitely been a surefire way of getting the top spot taken from them. Sounds like Huntr/x might step up and start dissing people tho. We can only hope and pray.
(also: am I the only one who kind of forgot that she can sing in such a low register? I'm so used to the high notes that I was genuinely shocked to hear this one. Woman has range, never forget that)

I was kind of wrong, kind of right on this one! It talking a bit about accomplishments, but in more of a bragging way instead of awe type of way. I foresee controversy about this song honestly, because god forbid a woman brags. But if anyone has earned it, it would be Celine fucking Kwon. Former top idol and current powerhouse of the music industry. She is on top of the world, what so wrong about saying it?
Rumi got it down to aces, the whole album is reeking confidence and that's such a nice change of pace from the previous heartache she left us with. And it's hot. So.

Too Sweet
Okay listen. We all heard the song. I can go on and on about symbolism, the fact that she used singular instead of plural, meaning she was singing about only one person and therefore might be rejecting someone who was coming onto her or might be singing about someone fictional. BUT I AM A SIMPLE LESBIAN AT HEART AND I YOU CAN'T ASK ME TO BE NORMAL AND ANALYTICAL ABOUT THIS.
But it is interesting that she is singing about someone being "too sweet" when both Mi-yeong and Soo-min were fairly known for being kind and sweet to fans and people in general. I also feel like, while this album is very confident, she is also hiding a fair bit of insecurities and serious topics in it as well. "Don't you just want to wake up dark as a lake?" is she asking if the sweet person doesn't just want to be bitter at some point? Like she describes herself as being? Liking her coffee black, whiskey neat and all that?
She also doesn't seem to be taking great care of herself, going to bed late, like Rumi also confirmed and other topics. It also ties in a bit to the whole 'I don't need anyone to save me' that she sang in Mount Everest. This person she's singing about is telling her to take care of herself, and Celine is convinced she's doing fine and doesn't need anyone.

Gay gay homosexual gay. Yeah no. Once again I'm 100% sure that Zoey got it right. Which is even more impressive since I remember these rumors (yes, I'm that old, be quiet) and therefore I remember how viciously they were squished.
But I went digging a bit for this one. Literally. Had to go through so many of my saved newspapers and magazines to find anything. I wanted a bit of proof as for who the song was about. Found one article from a gossip magazine with a blurry picture of Soo-min talking to Mi-yeong while seated on the hood of a Mercedes-Benz C208 CLK-class, see attachment Car.jpg.
Couldn't find anything about a penthouse, but those are far more private documents as well, so I'm not surprised. As for the rest, it's very common knowledge, at least to anyone who's watched interviews and read articles, that Soo-min like the Rolling Stones and was afraid of heights.
The song is about jealousy and annoyance, plain and simple. Our girl was jealous but also angry as hell that this random dude didn't know the simplest of things. Things that she and Mi-yeong probably learned withing weeks of meeting her. And this dude was dating her and didn't know shit.
All that being said. Holy shit the vocals. Someone kill me on the spot I am ascending. The growl? The jealousy? Zoey is right once again YOU CAN'T JUST NANANA THAT ALL AWAY WOMAN COME BACK HERE

That being said, I think she might be comparing herself to love/desire itself? "I'd be the voice that urged Orpheus when her body was found." It was love that urged him underground and that made him turn around. It's bold as hell and I love it a lot. The religious/mythological referecnes are on point. It's unfortunate for the ones who don't know the myth, but it really is amazing what she does.

"You win! You win!" Rumi stormed into the garden with all the stealth of a baby elephant. Celine just smiled to herself and kept uprooting the weeds. "Just please do something! They're absolutely rabid!"
Three pairs of footsteps accompanied her. Zoey and Mira came along as backup then. Good. It was always good to have each other's backs, even for more mundane parts of the job.

"That's assuming I'd be willing to release those songs." She said pointedly, but not unkindly. She heard the shuffle of nervous feet anyways. She sighed softly. "The songs on 'The Last Sunset' weren't even close to being the most personal songs on the drive. Remember, none of those songs were supposed to see the light of day."
She continued on, the basket at her side gaining a sizeable bundle of fresh herbs and vegetables as she worked.
"Besides, we are a few days away from the release of your own album. I've already taken far too much spotlight from that." She said, leaning back on her heels from where she was kneeling.
Celine heard a miserable groan from behind her, no doubt belonging to Rumi, and a few light pats, most likely Zoey trying to comfort her. Then the one who had stayed suspiciously silent finally spoke up.
"So release the ones about us." Mira said and Celine turned her head to look at them. They all stood side by side, a united front. Mira had stepped forwards slightly, Rumi and Zoey frozen watching them both. "That'd bring the attention back to us and it would distract them again."
It was a fair argument to make and Celine smiled slightly, a glint entering her gaze.
"You assume I have any." She commented lightly and Mira rolled her eyes with a snort.
"Obviously." The young woman said, crossing her arms and cocking a hip, her posture tensing slightly. "I get it if you don't have any for me or-"
The honmoon gave its hunters many abilities.
Enhanced reflexes, strength and speed being a few. It didn't stop the human body from aging, but it did keep it healthy. Thanks to this, despite Celine being in her early fifties, she moved as fluidly as she had in her twenties, allowing her to cut Mira off with a harmless but firm chop to the top of her head.
"Stop that." She simply said, handing the basket to Zoey and her sickle to Rumi. "Of course I have songs for all of you. Come, let's decide which ones to use."
"Uh… Celine?" She hadn't even managed to take five steps before Rumi spoke up. Celine threw a glance at her daughter over her shoulder.
"Yes, Rumi?" The purple haired girl shuffled a bit on her feet.
"Aren't you supposed to pick? They're your songs."
"And you're the subjects. I wouldn't wish to release anything you wouldn't approve of in this matter." She responded easily, resting her hands on her hips.
"Can you do it anysway?" Mira butted in, her own arms still crossed, but no longer as tensed. Celine raised an eyebrow at her. "We did start a bit of tradition."
"You want me to release the songs without showing them to you, so that you can react to them blind." She deadpanned.
"The fans really like it. And it's fun." Zoey pitched in.
"When it's not traumatizing…" Rumi muttered, almost too low for Celine to hear.
"I warned you. Both times." She reminded her, and Rumi had the decency to look sheepish. Then she sighed fondly, pinching the bridge of her nose slightly.
"Very well. I'll pick a few, but you will tell me if you want me to take them down."
"Yes, Celine!"
"Good." The eldest hunter nodded once. "Rumi, since I was interrupted, you can take care of the rest of the weeds. Zoey will keep you company while she continues my harvest. Mira, with me." She instructed, turned on her heel and strode back towards her home.
"We're making jjimdak." She simply said when they made it to the kitchen, washing her hands and beginning preparations.
Mira just hummed in response.
They worked in silence for a while, falling back into routines. Most of the training Celine had given them had been idol or hunter related, but a fair amount of things had been domestic as well. They needed to be self sufficient, her girls, and they couldn't be that if they didn't know how to cook. Celine would have been damned if the next generation of hunters had to order in or eat out everyday simply because they couldn't provide for themselves.
So there were days when they still lived at the compound, where they would join her in the kitchen, listening as she explained certain recipes or how to handle a knife outside of combat. Zoey found that she was more partial to baking, while Rumi was a bit of a mix of the two. She had fully inherited Celine's love for gardening, though.
Mira, however, always joined her in making their meals when she could. Truly, the girl reminded Celine a little too much of herself sometimes. Viewing the act as not only a way of showing love for the people she cared about, but also a way of showing herself that she didn't need her parents to make it in life. That she was now independent from their control. Some days Celine felt it was like looking at a happier version of herself.
It stung sometimes. Just that faded sense of hurt twinging as she watched them all living the life she had never wanted to bury. The life she was forced to mourn.
Then the hurt would fade, and she'd simply watch them, praying that their happiness would last longer than their predecessors'.
If Celine could take steps towards ensuring that, then why ever wouldn't she?
"Do you want me to make a statement?" She voiced, never stopping her food preparations. Yet she could see Mira pause in the corner of her eye.
"On what?" The pink-haired girl asked, continuing her own work with the chicken.
"On my relationship with Soo-min and Mi-yeong." Celine responded calmly. There was an immediate curse from her side as the knife slipped in Mira's hand. She put her own knife down and started the faucet, guiding Mira over.
"You keep commenting on it." She continued unperturbed, getting out some band aids from one of the drawers. She had yet to remove them from before the girls were proficient with their handling of cooking blades. Mira grimaces a bit at her words, pained in a way that Celine could tell had nothing to do with the small cut on her finger.
"I would never ask you to-"
"And you're not." The girls' words were not quite frantic, but something close to it, so Celine cut her off swiftly. "I'm asking you if that's what you want." She assured, handing the band aids over. "It's an open secret, child. I don't mind making it clear."
"Then why haven't you already?" Mira eyed her and Celine let her.
"There has been no reason for me to."
"Then why are you bringing it up now?" Celine snorted under her breath and walked out of the kitchen, throwing a raised eyebrow back at the girl when she didn't follow immediately.
"When a group or a person brings something new to the industry, they tend to be torn down or apart by both the media and the people." She started when she heard footsteps catching up to her. Celine kept walking towards the doors to the garden. "People can be truly horrible, which is why the industry tends to stay the same for periods of time. Until someone is brave enough to do something different." She continued. "That burden can weigh heavy."
She opened the door and took a few steps out, letting Mira go outside as well before she leaned against the doorframe. A bit ahead of them Rumi and Zoey were still doing their own parts. Mostly.
Rumi would occasionally toss weeds at Zoey, while Zoey would flick the dirt clinging to the vegetables at Rumi. Celine watched the way Mira looked at her fellow hunters for a moment. Shoulders relaxing a fraction, one hand coming up to rest against a support beam, the corners of her eyes softening at the edges.
"But once someone does it, it paves the way for others to do the same." Celine spoke up gently, idly noting the way Mira jumped a bit, like she had already forgotten Celine was there. "It tends to be easier to walk in an already shoveled path, rather than to shovel it yourself. Especially when the snow goes above your knees."
She watched the girl swallow, turning back towards Celine, even as Rumi and Zoey spotted them and started making their way over.
"We'd never ask that of you." Mira reiterated, quieter this time.
"Never ask you what?" Zoey bounded up with a pep in her step, Rumi coming up not a second later, looking slightly wary.
"You aren't." Celine repeated her earlier answer, walking closer to them all. "I'm offering."
"Offering what?" Rumi asked hesitantly, basket hanging loosely from one hand.
"To shovel a path." Mira responded before Celine could, her forehead landing heavily on the older woman's shoulder. Reaching up a hand to cradle the back of her head was instinctive, not something Celine did with any conscious thought. Rumi and Zoey watched them both with concern and she waved them in.
"Come. We'll talk it out over jjimdak."

[yet again, they're seated on the couch. Rumi in the middle, Mira on her right, Zoey on her left.]

🐯: But we're also the ones who convinced her to release at least one song about us as payback for traumatizing us with the last album

🐰: [Winces slightly]Yeah, sorry Ru. Personally, I have the entire thing downloaded.

🐱: [Blows kiss at her]
🐯: Anyways- some of the songs are obviously about us so we couldn't /not/ react to them.
🐱: Exactly. Fearless leader, you're up first.
🐯:… Damn.
🐰: At least she did promise that none of the songs were about grief!
🐱: Well I sure fucking hope not, we're all very alive.
[During 'Memories of Rumi']
[Right before it starts, Rumi is seated in the middle, Zoey on her left, Mira on her right.]
🐯: [Cracks her neck and knuckles as if preparing for a fight.]

🐰: [Pauses song and makes an expression of genuine shock] You went to school?!
🐯: [A face of pure offense] Yes???
🐱: [Chokes on her laughter]
🐰: Wait- no [laughs] I didn't mean it like that!
🐰: I meant, I thought you were home-schooled
🐰: Not that you didn't- [more laughing]
🐯: [Poor girl looks so confused] What made you think that?
🐱: No no, I get it. it's the whole [gestures to all of Rumi] right?
🐰: Yeah! You get it! Even if you are private school.
🐱: Hey now, so is Rumi probably. I'm the good end of the spectrum
🐯: [Fighting a smile] You guys are so mean to me
🐯: yes, believe it or not, I went to school. yes, it was a private one.
🐯: Can we continue now that that has been established?

"Waving goodbye, with an absentminded smile."
[The girls sit and listen intently, but Rumi starts squinting slightly at this line.]
"I watch her go, with a surge of that well known sadness, and I have to sit down for a while."
[The girls had some small smiles up until this point. Now they all drop and istg terror flashes in their eyes.]
🐯: She said there weren't any sad ones!
🐱: [With horror]… No. She said there weren't any about /grief/.
"The feeling that I'm losing her forever and without really entering her world."
🐯: Oh no.
"I'm glad whenever I can share her laughter. That funny little girl."
🐯: [Leaning on her knees] Oh god.
"Slipping through my fingers all the time, I try to capture every minute."
[The girls scooch in closer to Rumi, Mira leaning her head against her and Zoey hugging her around the waist]
"The feeling in it, slipping through my fingers all the time. Do I really see what's in her mind?"
🐯: [Slightly choked] Uh yeah? I swear, I thought she was a mind reader when I was a kid. I'm still on the fence about it.
"Each time I think I'm close to knowing, she keeps on growing. "
🐯: [Leans back and into the girls, holding on to the hem of Zoey's shirt and Mira's hand] Oh.

"Sleep in our eyes, her and me at the breakfast table. Barely awake, I let precious time go by."
🐯: [She is clinging hard to both Mira and Zoey, lips pressed tightly together.]
"Then when she's gone, there's that odd melancholy feeling and the sense of guilt I can't deny."
🐯: [Now the tears start falling. Quietly, with Mira rubbing a hand on her back andZoey squeezing her around the middle. Ugh, watching them is what made me tear up istg]
"What happened to those wonderful adventures? The places I had planned for us to go?"
🐯: [Lips start wobbling and she lowers her head so we can no longer see her face. Mira drapes herslf over Rumi and Zeoy leans against her]
"Well, some of them we did, but most we didn't and why? I just don't know."
[She let's go of Zoey's shirt to hold it over her eyes, even tough we still can't see her face.]
[Chorus the second time]
[She is crying hard now. Shoulders shaking and breath stuttering type of crying. Mira and Zoey also look pained during it, whispering things to her, too quiet for the mic to pcik up.]
"Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture and save it from the funny tricks of time."
[Zoey sheds a tear here as well.]
[chorus melody]
🐯: [Finally straightens up, looking at the ceiling] This is a cruel and unusual punishment.
[Schoolbag in hand reprise]
🐯: [Sobs] Oh okay, screw you too.
[During discussion break]
🐯: [Silent sniffling]
🐱: [Rubs her back]
🐰: I'm gonna go get us some tissues.
🐯🐱: [Nods]
[During 'Support for Zoey']
[Before it starts Rumi insists on switching places with Zoey.]
🐯: [still sniffling] If it's anything like mine, You're going to need it [referring to the middle spot]
🐰: [looking at Rumi before preemptively grabbing the box of tissues]… I am so scared right now
🐱: Honestly? After that [gestures to Rumi] you probably should be.
🐰: I'm so not prepared.
🐱: Too bad.
[Intro starts playing]
🐯: [in disbelief] Now why does she get happy go lucky melody while I get emotional devastation?
🐰: [Smug] I get youngest child privileges
🐰: Watch Mira get the piano for hers
🐱: [Horrified] Do NOT put that out into the world.

🐯: [Grumbling] This so unfair
🐰: [Smiling] I'm the favourite
"This brilliant light is brighter than you've known, without your darkness to prove it so."
[The speed at which Zoey's smug smile dropped is insane, I thought the screen glitched for a moment. Rumi's smug smile spreads not half a second later]
🐰: N-Now hold on a minute
🐯: [Smiling from ear to ear] False sense of security
🐱: [Pats Zoey's knee]
"Still, you can't help but to examine it, to add your question marks to periods."
[Zoey's jaw drops open and Mira cover her mouth with her hand and squeezes Zoey's leg with the other. Rumi's smile drops away as well and she latches on to Zoey.]
"At the foot of your bed you found an envelope: you're enough, you're enough, you're enough, you are enough."
[Zoey fully recoils back as if struck, Mira shifts closer and holds her around the shoulders and Rumi presses against herself against Zoey's side. Zoey is stuck open mouthed and staring]
"These little words help to erase the rust. You're enough, you're enough, you are enough"
[Zoey looks downright devastated. It is at this point she starts crying silently, both Mira and Rumi pressing themselves even closer, but Zoey doesn't have a reaction to them]
"So let your shadows fall away like dust."
[You know those crying breaths you take? The ones that fill your entire chest and it still feels like you can't breathe? Yeah, I'm pretty sure Zoey took one of those here]
[The happy melody becomes prevalent again]
🐰: [Snaps out of her daze, still crying] You can't just play happy music again after that!
🐰: [Wiping at her eyes] What the fuck?!
🐯: [Nuzzles her face against her shoulder] Still think you're the favourite?
🐰: yeah, the favourite punching bag!
🐰: Can we sue her for this?
🐯: Let's see how bad Mira gets it first
🐱: [genuinely fearful] Don't drag me into this

🐰: [Sniffles] yeah well. That's life, isn't it?
"But they're just old ghosts that you grew attached to."
🐰: [Sobs, voice cracking] OH OkAy
"The tragic flaw is that they hide the truth."
🐰: [Buries her face in her hands] Oh god

[She pulls a Rumi and hunches over, hiding her face from view. Mira and Rumi drape themselves over her.]

[Both Mira and Rumi grimace a bit and Zoey's shoulders start shaking pretty bad]
"I promise you're enough, you're enough, you're enough. I promise you."
[Yeah, she's downright sobbing now, firmly gripping her knees, wether to hold herself up or to ground herself idk, but damn is it a death grip.]

[She leans back again, Rumi and Mira managing to get her to grip their hands instead of her knees and she just stares up at the ceiling, hiccuping a bit.]
[Discussion break]
🐰: [Tears still streaming down her face, very wobbly] That felt like it was personal.
🐱: [Squints] I mean… It was.
🐰: [Places index finger to Mira's lips, Mira going cross-eyed looking at it. Zoey is still crying btw] Shh. The stars are telling me the truth of the origin of this song.
🐱: … Okay then.
🐯: [Laughs into her hand]
[During 'Truths to Mira']
[Mira switches places with Zoey and Zoey solemnly hands her the box of tissues.]
🐱: I am genuinely so scared right now
🐰: Don't be [Sniffles] it's healing.
🐰: Kinda
🐱: [Look of disbelief]
🐯: A bit. Mostly it feels like you've been stabbed.
🐱: Great.
[Hears intro, which happens to include a piano lmao]
🐱: [Slaps her hand against her thigh and glares and points at Zoey while squeezing the tissue box] I'm blaming you for this. You put this out into the world.
🐰: [Smiling with her whole face swollen from crying] Misery loves company.

🐱: [grumbling and getting a tissue ready] This is such bullshit.

🐱: [Looks at Zoey] This is your fault.

[She frowns heavily now, Rumi and Zoey leaning their head on her shoulders.]

[Mira grabs both of their hands in hers, holding them tightly, staring intently at the speaker. Her lips are trembling]
"So take a breath and then forget about the rest,"
[Rumi's eyes widen slightly and she presses herself even closer, I swear it's like the girl knew what was coming]
"cause you deserve the best."
[And down goes Mira. She starts crying here and tilts her head back, mouth twisting as she watches the ceiling.]

[They've shuffled a bit. Mira is no longer looking up, instead dabbing her eyes with the tissue, while Zoey is clinging to her and Rumi is combing her fingers through Mira's hair.]
"I'll stick around, when your lost feeling down. Do you hear me?"
[Mira tosses the tissue at the floor, covering her face with her hands and leaning on her knees]
"If you saw yourself, like we saw yourself, then you're home free."
🐰: [very quietly whispering] I mean, she's right.
🐯:[Inclines her head a bit in agreement]
🐱: [Starts crying harder]
"there's nothing I would want to change, I just wanna have you see the same way."
🐱: [Removing her hands and looking wide eyed at the speaker] There's nothing you'd want to- oh you ass![covers her face again]
"So talk to them now, need both of them now. Do you hear them? Can you hear them?"
🐰🐯: [Presses themselves even closer. genuinely cannot tell where one of them starts and the others begin.]
🐰: [Whispering again] Can you hear us?
🐱: [Nods]
"Oh. I know you're trying."
🐱: [Removes one hand so she can hold on to Zoey but continues covering her eyes with the other one. Rumi is still combing her figners through her hair.
[Discussion break]
🐱: [leaning heavily on her knees, looking at the ground] Zoey.
🐰: [Concerned] Mira…?
🐯: Rumi!
🐱: [looks up] What?
🐯: [shrugs] I felt excluded.
🐱: She spoke the piano into existence, do you think I'm about to say something nice?
🐯:… I no longer feel excluded.
🐰: But I feel scared
🐱: Good.
[During 'Encouragement to the Past']
[Sees title]
🐱: Oh god.
[Hears the piano in the intro]
🐱: I swear to god, I'm gonna break it
"I wish I had the number to your younger selves."
🐰: [Hugs Mira's arm] Oh shit.
"I'd pick up the phone and say 'You're only twelve', and you've lost more than most people do. You don't know it now, but there's still more to lose."
🐱: [still crying a bit, now crying more again] Oh this is such bullshit.
"Cause friends move away and people get older."
🐰: [clamps a hand over her mouth] Oh fuck
"Your hearts gonna break, over and over."
🐯: Is she…? Is she targeting us all???? She can't do that!
"You're not to blame, so don't blame yourselves. I hope this helps."
🐰: [dumbfounded] She did not just fucking hit us with 'I hope this helps'
🐰: She did not.
"You're gonna ask why, you're gonna want answers."
🐯: [laughs wetly] Oh yeah.
"Gonna feel like no one ever understands you."
🐱: [Nods and shrugs her shoulders helplessly] For a while, sure.
"You're gonna think twice before you start playing, and wonder when the walls will stop caving."
🐰: [Crying earnestly again] This is a damn massacre
"Hate to be the one to tell you this, but you'll be alright, kids."
[Mira is still in the middle btw, so we have Rumi and Zoey leaning into her while also reaching for each other. Mira now has an arm around them both.]
"I wish you knew the feeling wasn't permanent."
🐱: Which one? Impending doom?
🐰: Imposter syndrome?
🐯: The crushing weight of responsibility?

🐱: [Holds on to Rumi and Zoey even tighter and crying harder] Oh screw you with a rusty nail
"Stop trying to impress the people who leave."
🐰: [Chokes on a sob] Right between the ribs.
"It scares you to death, but don't take it hard, cause I know you are."
🐯: This is not being kind!
[Discussion break]
🐰: [dabbing her tears with a tissue] One of these days we might learn to listen when she warns us.
🐯: [Sniffles] but not today
[During 'Hope for the Future']
"The unfamiliar road could be the same place you get lost and find yourselves."
[They all frown gently here, tears have dried a bit]
"There might be bumps, there might be bruises, but at least you'll have a story here to tell."
[Zoey starts hesitantly bobbing her head along to the music. Mira looks like the speaker is about to bite her and Rumi is weary. (valid after those four sem-trucks to the face they all took)]
"Time will slip on by if you're stuck here livin' life with too much caution."
[Rumi also starts bobbing along to the music.]
"And I'm sorry I made you belive that the wings were made for walkin."
[All of them freeze immediately, Mira looking slightly vindicated. Probably because she was the only one not bobbing along lmao.]

🐰: [Sniffs] as we should.
"What if for once, you get to find the piece of you that you've been hidin', you've been hidin'?"
🐯: [immediately sobs]
🐱: [Holds her tightly]
🐰: [reaches over Mira to hold her hand]
"What if you chase your heart out to the edge? Rewrite your stars and be brave instead?"
"What if you jump and the fallin' feels a little like you're flyin', like you're flyin'?"
🐱:What if I smack into the damn floor, what then?
🐯: Then you get back up.
🐰: [Mumbling]Oh my god it's hereditary.
"Oh, my darlings, if you try you just might kiss the sky."
🐰:[Sniffling] This is so sick and twisted.

🐰: [Still a bit red-faced] I'm glad she ended it with a happy one. I needed that. I'm also going to be listening to my song on repeat until I die of dehydration.
🐱: [wiping remaining tears] Same
🐯: [sniffling] She did put a lot of thought into them, it would be a shame to let them go to waste.
Here we are at the end again. I sincerely recommend watching it yourself though, these are only my highlights.

Memories of Rumi
This song is obviously about Rumi and about reminiscing. Watching your child grow up, I can tell you from experience, isn't exactly grief, but it certainly aches when you realize how much time has passed. They went from that small little ball that you'd carry around on your shoulders/in your arms, and now they're moving out. Ugh this song hurt me on a personal level. Kwon, when I catch you Kwon.
But this one also seems to be the only song out of the three's that is from Celine's own perspective. For Zoey and Mira, she is singing her encouragements to them, while this one seems to tie back into reminiscing. It's like she's hanging out with friends and reminiscing about all the moments she had with her kid. Any parent can relate to that. Especially the parts where we feel like we let time slip throughout fingers and didn't appreciate what we had until it was gone.
It might also be about proving her care. If Celine is anything like her interviews in real life, then she's not the most verbal with her affection. We always saw her holding on to the other members of sls or fixing their outfits etc. She was very action driven in her affection, so this could be a verbal confirmation of "yes I remember all of this, because all of these moments were important to me because you are important to me.". Something that she'd usually shy away from.

Support for Zoey
Oh all of these songs were so personal. I know the girls said that they were the ones to convince Celine to release them, but holy shit these felt private. I am not the most active Hunter, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Zoey has talked about her imposter syndrome before, right? I know she joked about it on the stream, but she has stated it before right? In 'Golden' as well, never really finding her own place?
Then here Celine comes with a sledgehammer, the person who help train her, her mentor. Someone who they all have publicly stated to look up to! And she comes in saying "I promise you're enough.". What If i cried? Hmm? What then?
"They're just old ghosts that you grew attached to." Telling her that it's okay that she feels the way she does, because there is comfort in familiarity. But they're still ghosts, they're not actually here, not actually the truth. She's enough and she should let the ghosts rest. I am violently ill.

Truths to Mira
This one proves exactly how deliberate the names of the songs are as well. 'Memories of Rumi' states in the title that it's a song from Celine's perspective, while both 'Support for Zoey' and 'Truths to Mira' are songs for the girls, not about them. And we need to think specifically about the 'Truths' part of this song title.
The entire song is things Celine seems to have observed about Mira, her habits and her way of thinking. She sees her trying. Sees that she was in a bad place because of her own family. She is reassuring her, that not only is Celine there, but Zoey and Rumi are also right there should she need them "Can you hear them?". And now Celine needs her to know that the truth is that the world is tough, but she is tougher. And she deserves the best.
She's trying to make sure that she knows.

Encouragement to the Past
I said it once, and I'll say it again: all of these songs are very personal to the girls. I don't know why the girls wanted her top release these, but I am glad that she did. They can be so comforting for other children who haven't had the best upbringing.
And it hits me again with all the observations and how some of the lines are clearly directed at specific people. "Stop trying to impress the people who leave" Zoey. "Gonna feel like no one understands you" Mira. "It scares you to death, but don't take it hard, because I know you are." Rumi.
The entire song is her trying to encourage their younger selves to look forwards towards the future.

Hope for the Future
And this is her hope for them. That they'll kiss the sky. This one also ties in a little to Rumi's song from what I can tell. Now, let's not forget that we are not privy to their private lives, so what I'm about to say are assumptions that should not be taken as absolute truths.
That being said: It is very possible that there is or has been tension between Celine and the girls at some point. She speaks of guilt in Rumi's song, meaning she might regret certain things about how she raised her. Wether that be about the idol life or something else, we just don't know.
In this song she apologies for making them believe that their wings were made for walking. I would say this has something to do with generational trauma. We all know the idol scene was fucked up back when Celine wand the sls were active. It's very possible that she passed down some of those values to the girls, even accidentally.
She is now hoping that they'll forgo what she might've passed down to them and find their own way. Soar so high that they'll kiss the sky.
What parent doesn't want that for their kids?

Duh. Our vows were almost 10 minutes. Hers being 7 of them. That's also excluding the pre-wedding love letter she gave me. It was almost 50k words, so a bit closer to a love book than letter lol.

Found these while reminiscing, thought they were relevant in today's climate.
It was not legal for us to get married when we got engaged. At least not in South Korea. We had actually planned a trip to the Netherlands for that. We unfortunately never got to make that journey.
That does not change the fact that they were mine, and when I return to them, I will be theirs.
The world is cruel enough already, so when you find love, make sure to grab it and hold on tight. Even if that means you'll have your hands full.
