Summary
Its been 12 years after the party has graduated. Will moves back to california, while Mike stays in hawkins feeling like hes gotten nowhere in life.
Everyone else in his life has everything figured out for them. They're all married, happy, graduated from a nice college or university. While mike is in his 30s still living with his parents...on top of feeling like a failure compared to everyone, hes still greiving with the loss of El, and his late childhood and teenhood in general. Will seems to be so independant, flamboyent, self accepting, finally proud to be who he is,thriving in his adulthood. While mike still hasn't even figured himself out yet.
