    Summary

Richie Tozier doesn’t mean to say it out loud.
But when Will Byers comes out, the words slip out anyway—and suddenly, everything between them changes.

    It starts as a joke.
Just practice. Just kissing. Just because there’s no one else queer in their small towns.

It’s easy, at first. Easy to pretend it doesn’t mean anything. Easy to keep it a secret.

Then summer ends, and Richie goes back to Derry.

    The letters start out friendly.
They don’t stay that way. (They get spicy and freaky).

By the time Richie comes back to Hawkins, both of them know something has shifted—
they just don’t know how to face it without ruining everything they already have.

    OR

The summer where Richie hears Mike and Will at the Squawk Tower and realises Will deserves better so he offers to kiss him, just for fun and they get to involve in it. (And freaky)
