Summary
Dream had been taken out of the prison and forced to work at Las Nevadas, running a lucrative game of Russian Roulette for guests, under strict supervision from both Sam and Quackity.
To celebrate the opening of a new wing to the casino, Q booked out the hotel for a dinner party with his main crew.
Dream watches from an unsafe distance as the Las Nevadas gang poorly hashes out their problems, resulting in one of them getting mysteriously killed. Dream may not care for them, but he doesn't like being blamed for something he didn't do, and takes it upon himself to find the murderer before he finds himself back in Pandora's Vault.

Summary
Technoblade and Philza stared at the message that sat on Phil’s open communicator. At first, they weren’t sure who it was really from. Sure the name said Eret, but hackers existed. It was entirely possible that Eret’s name had been used to create a fake player ID. But no, Phil had double and triple-checked the sender address.
They were receiving communication from a Dream SMP member.
“So, uh, you answerin’ or am I?” Techno asked.
OR... Phil receives a mysterious request to rejoin the DSMP after fleeing the server with the Syndicate. Tasked with an near impossible quest and going in blind, the Syndicate arrives back to the SMP to find nothing is quite as they left it.

Summary
In a timeline where Players are not whitelisted to the Dream SMP until they reach the age of majority, there is no drug van, no L'Manberg, no Doomsday, no Disc Finale, and no Pandora's Vault. However, in the aftermath of Sapnap's latest bout of trouble-making, the Egg awakens and establishes its empire, and despite the server's admin debugging the virus down to bedrock, the Dream SMP now has a brand-new public enemy number one.
(or: Due to one simple rule change at the Dream SMP's creation, BadBoyHalo is now the reviled and distrusted villain of the server instead of Dream.)

Summary
“Get up. Drink this.” Sam held out a potion, shimmering pink with healing, which Dream hesitantly took. Sam’s voice betrayed nothing. His face might, but it was covered by his mask. Dream really wished he still had a mask.
He did as he was told, swallowing down the potion and relying heavily on the walls to bear his weight as he tried to stand. Sam helped to drag him up the rest of the way. Chains in hand, he led Dream onto the bridge.
He led Dream onto the bridge.
~
OR: When intruders attempt to break into Pandora's Vault, Sam and Quackity hide with Dream in a secret room beneath the prison. There is nothing to do but talk.

Summary
All Dream wanted was the server to be like it was at the beginning: his best friends by his side as he explores the world. When the nuke dropped, he thought that was it, and he'd never get his happy ending. That is, until DreamXD appeared to show him what happens to the three of them in every other universe.
At the end of it all—at the end of times—XD poses a question to Dream, reflecting on everything he's experienced, and forces him to make a choice. -

Bad knew conditions in the prison were declining, but he didn’t know the full extent. Not until Techno brought Dream to his doorstep, starving and scarred and shivering, and left him in his care. It’s his task to reverse all the damage he was once complicit in. It’s his penance to pay.
His only path to forgiveness.

Summary
Dream is traveling across the country, trying to get to his friends before the zombies do. Technoblade is following along, disjointed memory giving him nothing better to do than stick with the first person he never had any urge to attack, no matter how good he's gotten at suppressing said instincts. A ceramic mask on Dreams face hides him from all zombies. Technoblade's own undead blood leaves them no reason to attack him, either.
It makes a pretty lackadaisical approach to the apocalypse, stopping at libraries, filming ducks and helping other survivors whenever they cross paths. The two make it work.

Summary
“If we’re doing this, we’re doing it on my terms.” Sapnap says, finally. Dream stares in disbelief, then stops when Sapnap presses his blade closer, ready to slice skin. “I’m being serious.”
“Okay, okay.” Dream wheezes out, gasping once Sapnap retracts his blade. “Prime, fine, you can take the lead, but you have to listen to me.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” Sapnap stands, making no effort to help Dream up, even when he’s clearly struggling to catch his breath.
“I mean it, Sap–Sapnap.” He says, holding his head between his knees. He suddenly looks too small, and Sapnap’s satisfaction with winning melts away. “We actually do need to work together for this to work. I spent—too much fucking time working on this.”
“Yeah. And then we fight, right?” Sapnap mumbles.
“And then we fight,” confirms Dream.
After the world doesn't end, Dream and Sapnap make a temporal alliance to get rid of the Book of Revival and Death. It forces them to talk. A lot.

The immediate aftermath of a war isn't usually considered the best time to make friends, but it's not like there was many other options at this point. Dream's stuck traveling with a bunch of random people he doesn't know (and one that he does) as he tries to get to of the still-lingering warzone without getting caught by bounty hunters, so it should probably follow that he should get to know them. It really shouldn't be hard, should it? -

Summary
What did this player dream?
This player dreamed of sunlight and trees. Of fire and water. It dreamed it created. And it dreamed it destroyed. It dreamed it hunted, and was hunted. It dreamed of shelter.
Dream has been running for as long as he can remember. In search of something he can never hope to find, rewarded with a new world and nothing more. Hope comes in the form of a book, offered only as a bargaining chip, and Dream's fate in the hands of another.
