Anything But Qui-Gon
This is a collection for those fics where Qui-Gon was not Obi-Wan's teacher, or Obi-Wan left him and/or the Jedi Order.
Is, in general, anti Qui-gon, since that tends to be the theme of these type of fics. (But that's not a requirement!!)This collection does hold a few honorable mentions, such as "Jedi Order Leaves the Republic" (and tagged as such) and a few where Qui-Gon lives but Anakin choses to be taught by another.
PLEASE don't bookmark fics and mark them private- I've always felt that a collection is so that fellow fics can be found for all to enjoy

Obi-Wan Kenobi had sent a message hoping to get aid for Melida/Daan. He expected the disappointed face of Master Jinn to step off the Jedi cruiser to retrieve him. He hadn't been expecting Jedi Master Plo Koon, newest seated member of the Jedi High Council.
Plo Koon had often been told he missed his calling as a crechemaster, but he knew that the Force was pulling him into the wider universe. The day the Council received a comm from Melida/Daan, he felt like the Force was SCREAMING for him to go, and he would never think to ignore the Force.
Or: Plo Koon is actually secretly Mandalorian and adopts everyone he can. And gets Obi-Wan therapy Sithdamnit.

When Obi-Wan dies by Anakin's hand, he expects that to be the end.
It is not.
When he opens his eyes again, all of thirteen but with forty extra years of experience, not even the dust, dread, and death on Melidaan can stand in his way. Obi-Wan had seen the worst that the galaxy had to offer twice over - he'll be damned if he lets everything happen the same way for the second time.
Enter one Jedi Master Yan Dooku, the lynchpin to so many of the galaxy's darkest turns in the future-that-was. Torn between a Master who doesn't seem to want him and a man wearing the face of the Sith who had once tortured him, Obi-Wan makes a choice.
Everything changes.

Whoever this ‘Feemor’ was, the voice screaming for them was young. Probably an ad; no way they were older than Jango. Speaking of which—Jaster turned to where his Foundling was still standing, frozen in his tracks by the voice screaming through the forest. Something about it seemed to warble like a songbird or the ground before a landslide. -
