Hyuna looked back to the sky and thought about what he said. There was another “Hyuna” who found significance to the starry night like she did. It made her shiver at the thought of there being two of her, especially considering they might have things alike. Anakt wasn't too kind, reminding her of a dreadful fate if she stepped out of line.
And yet, this "hyuna" sounds much more free than she ever was.
Hyuna shouldn't be here. She should be resting. She should be dead. But against all odds, by some omniscient being, she ended up in a place with no other memory besides the ones that keep her up at night.

Luka wouldn't say he was envious. He had his moments where he made her laugh. Those private discussions were far superior to the run-ins she had with strangers. His head throbbed more recalling that certain 9 to 5, low-paying, barista at the company. But those insignificant bottom feeders held nothing against him.
He can make her smile. Make her rely on him. Everything his cold heart wished for. And they, foolish otherwise, would only have fanciful hopes as long as Luka can breathe.
The promise has proven to be difficult for him to abide by.
Luka and Hyuna are on the road when Luka pleads to find somewhere to cool down. Only things went downhill from there.
